1 So king Solomon was king over all Israel. És lõn Salamon király az egész Izráel felett királylyá.
2 And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest, Ezek [valának] pedig az õ fõemberei: Azária, Sádók papnak fia.
3 Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehosaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder. Elihóref és Ahija, Sisának fiai íródeákok, Jósafát, az Ahilud fia, emlékíró vala.
4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the army: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests: És Benája, a Jójada fia, a sereg hadnagya; Sádók pedig és Abjátár papok.
5 And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend: És Azáriás, a Nátán fia, a tiszttartók elõljárója; és Zábud, a Nátán fia, fõtanácsos és a király barátja.
6 And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute. És Ahisár udvarbíró; Adónirám pedig, az Abda fia, kincstartó.
7 And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, who provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision. Vala pedig Salamonnak tizenkét tiszttartója az egész Izráelen, a kik ellátták a királyt és az õ háznépét: esztendõnként mindeniknek egy hónapig kellett az ellátásról gondot viselnie.
8 And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim: És ezek azoknak neveik: Húrnak fia az Efraim hegyén.
9 mapa The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan: Dékernek fia Mákásban, Sahálbimban, Béth-Semesben és Elonban és Béth- Hanánban.
10 mapa The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher: Hésednek fia Arúbotban, õ hozzá tartozott Szókó és Héfer egész földe.
11 mapa The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; who had Taphath the daughter of Solomon for a wife: Abinádáb fiaié volt Dór egész határa. A Salamon leánya, Táfát, vala néki felesége.
12 mapa Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even to the place that is beyond Jokneam: Bahana, az Ahilud fia, [bírja vala] Taanákot és Megiddót és egész Béth- Seánt, mely Sartána mellett vala Jezréel alatt, Béth-Seántól fogva mind Abela Méholáig és mind Jokméámon túl.
13 mapa The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, sixty great cities with walls and brazen bars: Gébernek fia, Rámóth Gileádban: övé valának Jáirnak, a Manasse fiának falui, melyek Gileádban [valának;] az övé volt az Argób tartománya, mely Básánban vala, hatvan nagy város kõfallal és érczzárakkal [megerõsítve.
14 mapa Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim: Ahinádáb, Iddó fia Mahanáimban.
15 Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon for a wife: Ahimaás Naftaliban; a Salamon leányát, Bosmátát vevé magának feleségül õ is.
16 mapa Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth: Bahana, Khúsai fia, Áserben és Alóthban.
17 Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar: Jósafát, Paruákh fia, Issakhárban.
18 Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin: Simei, Éla fia, Benjáminban.
19 mapa Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in the land. Géber, Uri fia, a Gileád földében, Sihonnak, az Emoreus királyának földében, és Ógnak, a Básánbeli királynak [földében;] és [ez] egy tiszttartó [bírja vala] azt a földet.
20 Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry. És Júda és Izráel megsokasodott, olyan sok volt, mint a tenger mellett való föveny, és ettek, ittak és vigadtak.
21 mapa And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life. Salamon pedig uralkodék minden országokon a folyóvíztõl fogva egész a Filiszteusok földéig és Égyiptomnak határáig, és ajándékokat hoznak vala, és szolgálnak vala Salamonnak, életének minden idejében.
22 And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and sixty measures of meal. És Salamon eledele naponként [ez] vala: harmincz véka zsemlyeliszt és hatvan véka közönséges liszt;
23 Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and a hundred sheep, besides harts, and roebucks, and fallow-deer, and fatted fowls. Tíz hízlalt ökör, húsz füvön járt ökör és száz juh; a szarvasokon, õzeken, bivalokon és hízlalt madarakon kivül.
24 mapa For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side of the river: and he had peace on all sides around him. Mert õ uralkodék minden helyeken a folyóvizen túl Thifsától fogva egész Gázáig; minden királyokon, a kik a folyóvizen túl valának; és békessége volt néki minden alattvalóitól köröskörül.
25 mapa And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig-tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon. És lakozék Júda és Izráel bátorsággal, kiki mind az õ szõlõtõje és fügefája alatt. Dántól fogva Bersebáig; Salamonnak minden idejében.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. És Salamonnak volt negyvenezer szekérbe való lova az istállókban, és tizenkétezer lovagja.
27 And those officers provided victuals for king Solomon, and for all that came to king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing. És ezek a tiszttartók ellátták Salamon királyt és mindazokat, a kik a Salamon király asztalánál valának, kiki az õ hónapján, minden fogyatkozás nélkül.
28 Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries they brought to the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge. Azután árpát és szalmát is hoztak a lovaknak és a paripáknak arra a helyre, a hol a [király] volt, kiki az õ rendelete szerint.
29 And God gave Solomon great wisdom and understanding, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea-shore. És az Isten adott bölcseséget Salamonnak és igen nagy értelmet és mély szívet, mint a fövény, mely a tenger partján van.
30 mapa And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. Úgy hogy a Salamon bölcsesége nagyobb volt, mint a napkelet minden fiainak bölcsesége és Égyiptomnak egész bölcsesége.
31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all the surrounding nations. Sõt bölcsebb volt minden embereknél, [még] az Ezráhita Ethánnál is és Hémánnál, Kálkólnál és Dardánál, a Máhol fiainál; és híre neve vala minden nemzetségek között köröskörül.
32 And he spoke three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. És szerze háromezer példabeszédet, és az õ énekeinek [száma] ezer és öt volt.
33 mapa And he spoke of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even to the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spoke also of beasts, and of fowls, and of creeping animals, and of fishes. Szólott a fákról is, a Libánon czédrusfájától az izsópig, a mely a falból nevekedik ki; és szólott a barmokról, a madarakról, a csúszó- mászó állatokról és a halakról is.
34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, who had heard of his wisdom. És jõnek vala minden népek közül, hogy hallgassák a Salamon bölcseségét; a földnek minden királyaitól, a kik hallották vala az õ bölcseségét.
