1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.2 And both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.3 And running out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, They have no wine.4 Jesus said to her, Woman, of what concern is that to Me and you? My hour has not yet come.5 His mother said to the servants, Whatever He says to you, do it.6 Now there were set there six stone waterpots, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing two or three measures each.7 Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.8 And He said to them, Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast. And they brought it.9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom,10 and he said to him, Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now.11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

1 And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.4 It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one is able to work.5 As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.7 And He said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.8 Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, Is not this he who sat and begged?9 Some said, This is he. Others said, He is like him. He said, I am he.10 Therefore they said to him, How were your eyes opened?11 He answered and said, A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, Go to the pool of Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and I received sight.12 Then they said to him, Where is He? He said, I do not know.

13 When Jesus heard it, He withdrew from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. And when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot out of the cities.14 And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.15 And when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, This is a deserted place, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food.16 But Jesus said to them, They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.17 And they said to Him, We have here only five loaves and two fish.18 He said, Bring them here to Me.19 And He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes.20 So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained.21 Now those who had eaten were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

35 And the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, Let us cross over to the other side.36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him.37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already full.38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?39 And He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Be silent! Be muzzled! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.40 And He said to them, Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?

25 And a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.28 For she said, If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she was healed of the plague.30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, Who touched My clothes?31 But His disciples said to Him, You see the multitude thronging You, and do You say, Who touched Me?32 And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.33 And the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened in her, came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth.34 And He said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your plague.

1 And they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one was able to bind him, not even with chains,4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.5 And continually, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.6 And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and did homage to Him.7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure You by God that You do not torment me.8 For He said to him, Come out of the man, unclean spirit.9 And He asked him, What is your name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion; for we are many.10 He also begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains.12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.13 And Jesus immediately gave them permission. And the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.14 And those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened.15 And they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.16 And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine.17 And they began to beg Him to depart from their borders.18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him.19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and everyone marveled.

21 And when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea.22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, My little daughter lies at the point of death. Go in peace, and be healed of your plague.35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogues house who said, Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, Do not be afraid; only believe.37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, Jacob, and John the brother of Jacob.38 And He came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly.39 And when He came in, He said to them, Why do you make this commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is sleeping.40 And they ridiculed Him. But when He had put them all outside, He took the father and the mother of the child, and those who were with Him, and entered where the child was lying.41 And He took the child by the hand, and said to her, Talitha, koumi, which is translated, Little girl, I say to you, Arise.42 And immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were beside themselves with great amazement.43 And He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given to her to eat.

22 And immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away.23 And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into the mountain by Himself to pray. And when evening came, He was there alone.24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost! And they cried out for fear.27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.28 And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.29 So He said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me!31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.33 Then those who were in the boat came and did homage to Him, saying, Truly You are the Son of God.

1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house.2 And immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the Word to them.3 And they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men.4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had dug through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, Son, your sins are forgiven you.6 But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,7 Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins except for One, God?8 And immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, Why do you reason these things in your hearts?9 Which is easier: To say to the paralytic, Your sins are forgiven you; or to say, Arise, take up your bed and walk?10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins; He said to the paralytic,11 I say to you, Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw anything like this!

1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.2 It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.4 When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.6 So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.7 Then after this He said to the disciples, Let us go into Judea again.8 The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and do You go there again?9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.10 But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the Light is not in him.11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.12 Then His disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.13 However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus has died.15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.16 Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.19 And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house.21 Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.23 Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again.24 Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.25 Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes into Me, though he may die, he shall live.26 And everyone living and believing into Me shall never ever die. Do you believe this?27 She said to Him, Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who comes into the world.28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, The Teacher is here and calls for you.29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him.30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him.31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, She is going to the tomb to weep there.32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.34 And He said, Where have you laid him? They said to Him, Lord, come and see.35 Jesus wept.36 Then the Jews said, See how He loved him.37 And some of them said, Would not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have been able to keep this man from dying?38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.39 Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, Lord, by this time there is a stench, for it is four days.40 Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?41 Then they took away the stone from where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the crowd standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.43 And when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus! Out here! Now!44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.
