O adultério
O adultério é pecado grave que destrói alianças, famílias e vidas. A Bíblia condena firmemente a infidelidade conjugal e chama à pureza, fidelidade e santidade no casamento.
A lei de Deus
Não adulterarás. Quem comete adultério destrói a própria alma. A Palavra de Deus é clara e direta sobre este pecado.
Jesus ensina
Quem olhar para uma mulher com intenção impura já adulterou no coração. Jesus elevou o padrão da pureza.
27 You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt not commit adultery.28 But I say to you, that every one who beholdeth a woman so as that he shall desire her, already committeth adultery in his heart.
32 But I say unto you, that whosoever looseth his wife, except on account of fornication, maketh her to commit adultery; and whosoever taketh her who is sent away, committeth adultery.
19 For from the heart proceed evil thoughts, adultery, murder, fornication, robbery, false witness, blasphemy.
11 And he said to them, Every one who shall send away his wife, and take another, adulterizeth.12 And if the wife shall leave her husband, and shall become another's, she adulterizeth.
18 Every one who looseth his wife, and taketh another, committeth adultery; and every one who taketh the dismissed, committeth adultery.
Armadilhas e consequências
Os lábios da mulher estranha destilam mel, mas o seu fim é amargo. Fuja da imoralidade — o adultério escraviza.
18 Flee from fornication: for every sin which a man committeth is without his body; but he who committeth fornication against his own body sinneth.
16 But I say to you, Walk in the Spirit, and the desires of the flesh you will not work.17 For the flesh desireth that which is repugnant to the Spirit, and the Spirit desireth that which is repugnant to the flesh; and the two are adverse one to the other, that not any thing that you will you may do.
19 For the works of the flesh are known, which are (these), fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20 the worship of idols, sorcery, enmity, contention, ambition, wrath, calumny, divisions, rendings,21 envy, murder, drunkenness, revelling, and all that are like these; and they who do them, as I told you before, so now I tell you, the kingdom of Aloha do not inherit.
4 Honourable is marriage among all, and their bed is undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers Aloha judgeth.
3 For this is the will of Aloha, your sanctification; and that you be distant from all fornication;4 and that every man of you know to possess his vessel in sanctification and in honour,5 and not in the passions of concupiscence, as the rest of the Gentiles who know not Aloha.
4 Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is enmity with Aloha? He, therefore, who willeth to be the friend of this world, hath become the enemy of Aloha.
21 And I gave her time when she might convert, and she willed not to repent of her fornication.22 Behold, I cast her into a bed, and those who have committed adultery with her into great affliction, if they repent not of their works.
