8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:9 »I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you10 "and with every living creature that was with you, the birds, the livestock, and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you, every living creature on earth.11 »I establish my covenant with you: Never again will the waters of a flood destroy all life. Never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.«12 God said: »This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:13 »I give you my rainbow in the clouds. It will be the sign of my covenant with the world of mankind.
11 »I establish my covenant with you: Never again will the waters of a flood destroy all life. Never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.«
13 »I give you my rainbow in the clouds. It will be the sign of my covenant with the world of mankind.
18 On that day Jehovah made a covenant with Abram. He said: »To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates,19 the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites,20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.«
3 Abram fell on his face and God said to him:4 »This is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.5 »You will no longer be called Abram Exalted Father. Your name will be Abraham means Father of Many. I have made you a father of many nations.6 »I will make you very fruitful. I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.7 »I will establish my covenant as a long lasting covenant between us. It will be for your descendants after you, for the generations to come. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.8 »The whole land of Canaan, where you are now a guest alienforeignerstranger, I will give a long lasting possession to you and your descendants after you. I will be their God.«9 Then God said to Abraham: »As for you, you must keep my covenant, you and your descendants after you for the generations to come.10 »This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.11 »You are to undergo circumcision. It will be the sign of the covenant between us.
5 In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him came and subdued the Rephaim in Ashteroth-karnaim, the Zuzim in Ham, the Emim in Shaveh-kiriathaim,
5 If you will obey me and are faithful to the terms of my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my own special possession, for all the earth is mine.
31 »I will make the borders of your land extend from the Gulf of Aqaba to the Mediterranean Sea and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give you power over the inhabitants of the land. You will drive them out as you advance.32 »Do not make any agreement with them or with their gods.
10 Jehovah said: »Behold! I offer a covenant promise to perform signs and miracles for you that have never been done in all the earth. Neighboring nations will stand in fear and know that I was the one who did these marvelous things.
28 Moses was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights. He did not eat bread or drink water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments Ten Words.
28 Moses was there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights. He did not eat bread or drink water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments Ten Words.
13 »He told you what you must do to keep the covenant he made with you. You must obey the Ten Commandments, which he wrote on two stone tablets.
9 »Keep in mind that Jehovah your God is the only true God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commandments.
Alianças renovadas
O povo renovava a aliança diante do Senhor. A fidelidade de Deus permanece mesmo quando o povo falha.
14 When the people set out from their camp to cross the Jordan, and the priests bearing the Ark of the Covenant before the people and15 As they carried the ark into the Jordan and the feet of the priests dipped into the water, for Jordan is at food stage at the time of harvest.16 The waters stood and rose up upon a heap very far from the city Adam that is beside Zaretan. The waters that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off. The people passed over the Jericho.17 The priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant of Jehovah stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan River. All the Israelites passed over the Jordan River on dry ground.
17 The priest Jehoiada had King Jehoash and the people make a covenant with Jehovah that they would be Jehovahs people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
3 The king stood beside the pillar and made a promise to Jehovah that he would follow Jehovah and obey his commands, instructions, and laws with all his heart and mind. He confirmed the terms of the promise written in this book. All the people joined in the promise.
6 At once King Joram mobilized his troops and left Samaria.7 He sent this message to King Jehoshaphat of Judah: »The king of Moab rebelled against me. Will you join me to war against Moab?« King Jehoshaphat replied: »I will. I am on your side. My men and horses are at your disposal.
16 »May our promise to each other still be unbroken. If it is broken, Jehovah will punish you.«17 Once again Jonathan made David promise to love him. Jonathan loved David as much as he loved himself.
10 Jehovah continued speaking to Moses:11 Jehovah said to Moses: »Phinehas, son of Eleazar and grandson of the priest Aaron, turned my fury away from the Israelites. Since he stood up for me, I did not have to stand up for myself and destroy them.12 »Tell Phinehas that I now make a promise of peace to him.13 »My promise is that he and his descendants will be priests for a very long time because he stood up for his God. He made peace with Jehovah for the Israelites.«
89 When Moses went into the tent of meeting to speak with Jehovah, he heard the voice speaking to him from above the throne of mercy on the Ark containing the words of Gods Covenant, from between the two cherubim. This is how Jehovah spoke with Moses.
1 Jehovah said to Moses:2 »Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them. Get one from the leader of each of their tribes. Write each mans name on his staff.3 »Write Aarons name on the staff for Levi because there must be one staff for the head of each tribe.4 »Put them in the tent of meeting where I meet with you, in front of the testimony of my promise.5 »The staff from the man I choose will begin to grow. In this way I will silence the frequent complaints the Israelites make against you and Aaron.«6 Thus Moses spoke to the Israelites. Their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one from the leader of each of their tribes. Aarons staff was among them.7 Moses put the staffs in Jehovahs presence in the tent of the testimony.8 The next day Moses went into the tent. He found that Aarons staff for the tribe of Levi had not only begun to grow, but it had also blossomed and produced ripe almonds.9 Moses brought out the staffs from Jehovahs presence and showed them to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each man took his staff.10 Jehovah said to Moses: »Put Aarons staff in front of the testimony. Keep it there as a sign to warn any other rebels. Then you will stop their complaints about me, and they will not die.«11 Moses did exactly what Jehovah commanded him to do.
12 The people of Israel sinned against Jehovah again. Because of this Jehovah made King Eglon of Moab stronger than Israel.13 Eglon joined the Ammonites and the Amalekites. They defeated Israel and captured Jericho, the city of palm trees.
Nova Aliança
Eis que dias vêm em que farei nova aliança. Jesus é mediador de uma aliança superior, fundamentada em melhores promessas.
31 »The time is coming,« proclaims Jehovah, »when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.32 »It will not be like the promise that I made to their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of Egypt. They rejected that promise, although I was a husband to them,« says Jehovah.33 »This is the covenant agreement that I will make with Israel after those days,« declares Jehovah. »I will put my teachings Law inside them. I will write those teachings Law on their hearts innermanmindwillconscienceunderstanding. I will be their God, and they will be my people.«34 »No longer will each person teach his neighbors or his relatives by saying: Know Jehovah. »All of them, from the least important to the most important, will know me,« declares Jehovah. »I will forgive their wickedness and I will no longer hold remember their sins against them.«
20 »If you break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that day and night will not be at their appointed time,21 then my covenant may also be broken with David my servant so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, with the Levitical priests as my ministers.
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant. A death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant. Those called may receive the promise of everlasting inheritance.

6 Jesus has obtained a more excellent ministry. The covenant that he arranged between God and his people is a better one, because it is based on promises of better things.
20 Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus,21 make you perfect mature in every good thing. May you do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 He also made us sufficient as ministers of a new covenant. This is a covenant not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
24 This contains an allegory symbolic drama. These women symbolize two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to bondage, which is Hagar.25 Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia. She corresponds to the Jerusalem that now is. She is in bondage with her children.26 The Jerusalem above is free. She is our mother.
Fidelidade da aliança
A aliança de Deus é eterna. Ele não quebra seu pacto nem altera o que saiu dos seus lábios.
17 But the loving kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting on those who reverence him, and his righteousness is to the sons of sons.18 It is to those who keep his covenant, and to those who remember to do his commandments.
21 »This is my promise to them,« says Jehovah. »My Spirit is on you and my words that I put in your mouth will not leave you. They will be with your children and your grandchildren permanently,« says Jehovah
25 »»I will promise them peace. I will remove the wild animals from the land so that my sheep can live safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
8 »Jehovah is the one who goes ahead of you. He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be downhearted.«
27 »He will make a firm covenant with many for one week time period of seven. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offerings to cease. The one that makes desolate will come upon the wing of abominations. At the end that which is decreed will be poured out upon the one lying desolate.«
5 »The king of the south will be strong along with one of his princes. His prince will be stronger than him, and have dominion. His dominion will be a great dominion.6 »At the end of years they will become allies form an allience. The daughter of the king of the south will come to the king of the north to make an agreement. But she will not retain the strength of her arm power; neither will he stand, nor his arm power; but she will be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in those times.
16 »But he that comes against him will do according to his own will, and none will stand against him. He will stand in the glorious land, and in his hand will be destruction.17 »And he will be determined to come with the strength of his whole kingdom, and with him equitable conditions. He will perform them. He will give him the daughter of women, to corrupt her; but she will not stand or be on his side.
1 »I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.
16 You will be able to resist any immoral woman who tries to seduce you with her smooth talk.17 She is unfaithful to her own husband and forgets her sacred vows to God.
