Tomar uma decisão
Tomar decisões com sabedoria é um dos maiores desafios da vida. A Bíblia nos ensina a buscar a Deus em oração, na Palavra e no conselho, confiando que Ele dirige os nossos passos.
Buscar a Deus
Se algum de vós tem falta de sabedoria, peça a Deus. Ele dá generosamente e sem repreensão a todos os que pedem.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Confidence and Compassion in Prayer
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Conselho e direção
Onde não há conselho os planos se frustam. Toda Escritura é útil para nos guiar nas decisões da vida.
Where thereis no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors thereis safety.
The lot is cast into the lap,
But its every decision is from the Lord.
A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;
He rages against all wise judgment.
A fool has no delight in understanding,
But in expressing his own heart.
When the wicked comes, contempt comes also;
And with dishonor comes reproach.
The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters;
The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.
Itis not good to show partiality to the wicked,
Or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
A fool’s lips enter into contention,
And his mouth calls for blows.
A fool’s mouth is his destruction,
And his lips are the snare of his soul.
The words of a talebearer are like tasty trifles,
And they go down into the inmost body.
He who is slothful in his work
Is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.
The name of the Lordis a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem.
Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty,
And before honor is humility.
He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.
The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness,
But who can bear a broken spirit?
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.
Now in the church that was at Antioch there were certain prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
Confiar e seguir
Seja o que for que façais, fazei tudo para a glória de Deus. O sábio ouve a Deus antes de agir.
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
The Race of Faith
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, "Ask! What shall I give you?"
And Solomon said: "You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as itis this day. Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know howto go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?"
The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: "Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.
Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!"
But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips.
