As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.
Jesus e as crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come to me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
1 At the same time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?2 And Jesus called a little child to him, and set him in the middle of them,3 And said, Truly I say to you, Except you be converted, and become as little children, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.4 Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
10 Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones; for I say to you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased,16 And said to him, Hear you what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes; have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you have perfected praise?
15 Truly I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.
36 And he took a child, and set him in the middle of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them,37 Whoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whoever shall receive me, receives not me, but him that sent me.
Instruir e proteger
Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
13 And all your children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of your children.
3 See, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.2 Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;3 That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.4 And, you fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
24 The LORD bless you, and keep you:25 The LORD make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you:26 The LORD lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace.
