As crianças são preciosas aos olhos de Deus. Jesus as acolheu, abençoou e ensinou que delas é o Reino dos Céus — modelos de fé, pureza e humildade.
Jesus e as crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus abraçou, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé para os adultos.
14 Jesus said: »Let the little ones children come to me. Do not keep them away: for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.«
1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus. They asked: »Who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?«2 He took a little child and put him in the middle of them.3 He said: »Truly I tell you, if you do not have a change of heart and become like little children, you will not go into the kingdom of heaven.4 »He who humbles himself to become like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
10 »Do not treat these little ones badly. I tell you that angels represent them in the presence of my Father in heaven.
15 The chief priests and the scribes saw the powerful works he did. They heard the children crying out in the Temple: »Glory to the son of David.« This made them very angry.16 »Have you any idea what these people are saying?« Jesus answered: »Yes. It is written, From the lips of children and babies at the breast you have made your praise complete.«
15 »Truly I tell you, he who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child shall not enter it.«16 He took them in his arms, put his hands upon them and blessed them.
36 He put a little child in the middle of them and taking him in his arms he said to them:37 »Whoever receives a little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me.«

Instrui a criança no caminho de Deus. Elas são herança do Senhor — presentes sagrados que devemos educar com amor.
6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

3 Children are an inheritance from Jehovah. They are a blessing from him.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right.2 Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.3 Then it will go well with you, and you may live long on the earth.4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of God.
