Os avós são tesouros vivos de sabedoria e fé. A Bíblia honra os mais velhos e celebra a transmissão de fé entre gerações — dos avós aos netos e destes aos que virão.
A bênção dos avós
A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos. A misericórdia de Deus é de geração em geração sobre os que o temem.
6 Grandchildren are the crowns of old men. Fathers take pride in their children.
17 But the loving kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting to everlasting on those who reverence him, and his righteousness is to the sons of sons.
25 I have been young, and now I am old, but I have never seen a righteous person abandoned or his descendants begging for food.
4 One generation shall praise your works to another. They will declare your mighty acts.
5 For Jehovah is good. His loving kindness is everlasting and his truth endures to all generations.
Força e fidelidade
Mesmo na velhice darão frutos. Os cabelos brancos são coroa de glória. Deus não abandona seus filhos na idade avançada.
14 Even when they are old, they still bear fruit. They are always healthy and fresh.15 They make it known that Jehovah is upright. He is my rock. He is never unrighteous.
31 Gray hair is a crown of glory when it is found in the way of righteousness.
4 Even in your old age with gray hair I am he, I am he who will support you. I have made you and I will bear your burden take care of you. I will sustain supportstrengthen you and I will rescue you keep you safe.
30 Even young people grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.31 »Those who hope in Jehovah will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary! They will walk and not be faint.«
9 »Be on your guard! Make sure you do not forget, as long as you live, what you have seen with your own eyes. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.
