6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

24 He who spares the rod authority hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines instructs him promptly.

7 The righteous man walks in his integrity. He blesses his children.

24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice and he who gives birth to a wise child will receive joy from him.

26 Respect for Jehovah builds strong confidence. Your children will have a place of refuge.

12 »Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you.

3 Children are an inheritance from Jehovah. They are a blessing from him.4 The children born to a man when he is young are like arrows in the hand of a warrior.5 Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them. He will not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the city gate.

15 »If you are not willing to serve him, decide today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are now living. As for my family and me, we will serve Jehovah.«

13 Be alert be watchful and stand fast be vigilantpersevere in the faith, carry on as men be courageous, be strong. (Ps 31:24)
