Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Learn then to imitate God as his beloved children,
5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,6 who, though from the beginning he had the nature of God, did not reckon equality with God something to be forcibly retained,7 but emptied himself of his glory by taking the form of a slave, when he was born in the likeness of men.8 More than this, after he had shone himself in human form, he humbled himself in his obedience even to death; yes, and to death on a cross.
1 Be imitators of me, as I am an imitator of Christ.
6 Moreover, you began to follow the pattern I set you, and the Lords also, receiving the word with joy in the Holy Spirit, although amid severe persecution.
