Luz do mundo
Jesus declarou: 'Eu sou a luz do mundo.' A luz é metáfora central da Bíblia — Deus é luz, Cristo é luz, e os cristãos são chamados a brilhar como filhos da luz neste mundo.
Jesus, a luz do mundo
Jesus disse: quem me segue não andará em trevas, mas terá a luz da vida. Ele é a verdadeira luz que ilumina todo homem.

Deus é luz
Deus é luz e nele não há treva alguma. Se andarmos na luz, temos comunhão uns com os outros e o sangue de Jesus nos purifica.

Vós sois a luz do mundo
Jesus disse aos discípulos: vós sois a luz do mundo. Não se esconde uma cidade edificada sobre um monte. Brilhem a vossa luz!

A luz nas Escrituras
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para nossos pés e luz para o caminho. Ela ilumina, revela e nos guia na verdade.
Luz versus trevas
A luz brilha nas trevas e as trevas não a venceram. Cristãos são chamados a não ter comunhão com as trevas, mas a expô-las.

Proclamar a luz
Os cristãos são embaixadores da luz, chamados a proclamar as virtudes daquele que nos chamou das trevas para a sua maravilhosa luz.
