1 Every wise woman builds her house: but the foolish plucks it down with her hands.

10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility.

5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and reproaches not; and it shall be given him.

11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

25 Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.26 She opens her mouth with wisdom; and on her tongue is the law of kindness.

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all.

30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that makes ashamed is like rottenness in his bones.

16 A gracious woman retains honor: and strong men retain riches.

14 House and riches are the inheritance from fathers: and a prudent wife is from the LORD.

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;4 That they may teach the young women to be sensible, to love their husbands, to love their children,5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

11 Even so must their wives be serious, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go out to meet him.7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go you rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of man comes.
