A Bíblia tem muito a dizer sobre o mundo e nossa relação com ele. Cristãos estão no mundo, mas não são do mundo — chamados a ser luz e sal sem se conformar com os padrões seculares.

O amor de Deus pelo mundo

Vencer o mundo

Pertencemos a Deus
Do Senhor é a terra e tudo o que nela existe. Vivemos neste mundo como peregrinos, desejando a pátria celestial.

This was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person. He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and yet the world did not know Him.

The Coming Day of the Lord
Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue just as they were from the beginning of creation." For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water. But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.
For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.
So I will punish the world for its evil
And the wicked for their wrongdoing;
I will also put an end to the audacity of the proud
And humiliate the arrogance of the tyrants.
Do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.
We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.
But when Jesus heard this, He responded to him, "Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well."
For if by the offense of the one, death reigned through the one, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

He will even oppose the Prince of princes,
But he will be broken without human agency.
