Nem só de pão vive o homem
'Nem só de pão vive o homem' — essa declaração de Jesus ao diabo no deserto revela que a Palavra de Deus é o verdadeiro alimento que sustenta a vida em plenitude.
O verdadeiro alimento
Quando tentado a transformar pedras em pão, Jesus respondeu com a Escritura: a vida humana depende de toda palavra que sai da boca de Deus.

3 »He humbled you allowed you to suffer with hunger and then fed you with manna. Neither you nor your fathers had seen this before. He did this to teach you that a person cannot live on bread alone but must live on all everythingevery word that proceeds from the mouth of Jehovah.
Jesus, o pão vivo
Jesus é o pão da vida que desceu do céu. Quem come deste pão viverá para sempre. Ele é o sustento que satisfaz a fome da alma.
35 Jesus replied: »I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not hunger. The one who puts active faith in me will never thirst.
48 »I am the bread of life.
51 »I am the living bread that came down out of heaven. If any man eats of this bread he will live forever. Yes and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.«
57 »The living Father sent me and I live because of the Father. He who takes me for his food will live because of me.58 »This is the bread that came down out of heaven. It is not like the bread manna the fathers ate and then died. He who eats this bread will live forever.«

25 »I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink. And do not worry about your body, what you will wear. Is life worth more than food? And is the body worth more than clothes?
29 »Do not seek food and drink and do not worry.30 »For the people of the nations seek after these things. Your Father knows that you need them.31 »Seek first his kingdom and these things will be added to you.
31 In the meantime his disciples urged him to eat.32 He said: »I have food to eat that you do not know about.«33 So the disciples said to each other: »Has any man brought him something to eat?«34 Jesus said: »My food is to do the will of him that sent me. To finish his work!
17 The fig tree will not flourish. There will be no fruit on the vines. The labor of the olive will fail and the fields will yield no food! The flock will be cut off from the fold and there will be no herd in the stalls.18 Yet I will rejoice in Jehovah! I will find joy in the God of my salvation.19 Jehovah, the Sovereign Lord, is my strength! He makes my feet like a deers feet. He will make me walk upon high places.
