Nova criatura
Em Cristo somos nova criação. O velho se foi, tudo se fez novo. A transformação não é reforma — é renascimento completo pelo poder do Espírito Santo.
Novas criaturas em Cristo
Se alguém está em Cristo, nova criação é. As coisas velhas passaram e eis que tudo se fez novo. A transformação é radical e total.
17 So then if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God preordained that we should walk in them.
5 And he who sits upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he says to me, Write, because these words are TRUE and faithful.
Despir o velho e vestir o novo
Somos chamados a despir o velho homem e vestir o novo, criado segundo Deus em justiça e santidade provenientes da verdade.
22 for you to put off the old man according to your former conduct, the man who is corrupt according to the desires of deceitfulness,23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your mind,24 and to put on the new man according to God, the man who was created in righteousness and piety of the truth.
9 Do not lie to each other, having stripped off the old man with his practices,10 and having put on the new man, being renewed in knowledge according to an image of him who created him,
4 We were buried therefore with him through the immersion into death, so that as Christ was raised up from the dead through the glory of the Father, so also we may walk in newness of life.5 For if we have become co-planted in the likeness of his death, then we will also be of the resurrection.6 Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, so that the body of sin might be inactivated, no longer to enslave us to sin.7 For he who has died has been made righteous away from sin.
20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And what I now live in flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
Coração e Espírito novos
Deus promete dar um coração novo e um espírito novo. Pelo novo nascimento somos feitos participantes da natureza divina.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh,20 that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to thee, If any man is not begotten from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Because of which, the precious and greatest promises have been given to us, so that through these ye might become companions of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world in lust.
18 Do not remember ye the former things, nor consider the things of old.19 Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth. Shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
