Nova criatura
Em Cristo somos nova criação. O velho se foi, tudo se fez novo. A transformação não é reforma — é renascimento completo pelo poder do Espírito Santo.
Novas criaturas em Cristo
Se alguém está em Cristo, nova criação é. As coisas velhas passaram e eis que tudo se fez novo. A transformação é radical e total.
17 If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things have passed away. Behold, they have become new.
15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision anything, but a new creature is.
10 For we are his workmanship created with Christ Jesus for good works. God prepared these works in advance that we should walk in them.
5 He who sat on the throne said: "Behold, I make all things new. Then he told me to write: for these words are faithful and true."
Despir o velho e vestir o novo
Somos chamados a despir o velho homem e vestir o novo, criado segundo Deus em justiça e santidade provenientes da verdade.
22 You put away your former way coursebehaviorconversation of life, the old self that was corrupt with the lusts of deceit.23 You are renewed in the spirit vital principlesattitude of your mind understanding.24 Put on the new man, that in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you got rid of the old self with its evil practices.10 You put on the new self that is being renewed to a true knowledge full discernment according to the image of the one who created him.
4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death. Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, that we might walk in the newness of life.5 If we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be in the likeness of his resurrection.6 We know this that our old self was impaled with him that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer be in bondage to sin.7 He who has died is freed from sin.
20 I have been impaled with Christ. It is no longer I that live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the flesh physical body I live by faith. This is the faith that is in the Son of God. He loved me and gave himself up for me.
Coração e Espírito novos
Deus promete dar um coração novo e um espírito novo. Pelo novo nascimento somos feitos participantes da natureza divina.
19 »I will give them one united heart, and put a new spirit within them. I will take the heart of stone unkind attitude out of them and give them a heart of flesh loving disposition.20 »In this way they may walk in my statutes and obey my ordinances. Then they will be my people, and I will be their God.
3 Jesus answered: »Truly I tell you unless a person is born again brought forth from above he cannot see the kingdom of God.«
4 He offered us his precious and exceedingly great promises. Through these you may become partakers of the divine nature. You will escape from the corruption that is in the lust-filled world.
18 »Forget what happened in the past, and do not dwell on events from long ago.19 »I am going to do something new. It is already happening. Do you recognize it? I will clear a way in the desert. I will make rivers on dry land.
