Poder de decisão
Deus nos deu o poder de escolher. A Bíblia mostra que nossas decisões têm consequências eternas e nos chama a escolher sabiamente — a vida, a fé e o caminho de Deus.
A responsabilidade de escolher
Escolhei hoje a quem servireis. Cada decisão molda nosso destino, e Deus nos convida a escolher o caminho da vida e da obediência.
15 And if it seems evil to you to serve Jehovah, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers have served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.
22 And Joshua said to the people, You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Jehovah for yourselves, to serve Him. And they said, We are witnesses.
30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord Jehovah. Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity shall not be a stumbling block to you.31 Cast away from you all the transgressions by which you have transgressed, and prepare for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies, declares the Lord Jehovah. Therefore turn and live!
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot.16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
Decisões e consequências
Deus retribuirá a cada um segundo as suas obras. As Escrituras nos alertam que a mornidão espiritual e a resistência ao Espírito têm consequências sérias.
6 who will render to each one according to his works:7 eternal life to those who steadfastly doing good, seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility;8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness; anger and wrath,
51 You stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always oppose the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.
35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:37 For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not linger.38 Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul is not pleased with him.39 But we are not of those who draw back to destruction, but of those who believe to the preserving of the soul.
Decisão e fé
Decida com fé, entregue seus planos ao Senhor e aja com determinação. Deus guia os passos de quem se achega a Ele de coração.
33 The lot is cast into the lap, but the whole disposition of it is from Jehovah.
21 There are many plans in a mans heart; nevertheless the counsel of Jehovah shall stand.
3 Roll your works upon Jehovah, and your thoughts will be established.
7 For the Lord Jehovah will help Me; therefore I have not been ashamed. Therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
17 If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak out of Myself.
38 And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.39 And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for their good and for the good of their children after them.
38 Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be immersed in the name of Jesus Christ to the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
