Poder

Por Bíblia Online –

O poder de Deus opera nos que creem. A Bíblia revela que o cristão recebe poder do alto para viver, servir e vencer — não por força própria, mas pelo Espírito de Deus.

Poder do Espírito Santo

Jesus prometeu que seus seguidores receberiam poder ao descer sobre eles o Espírito Santo. Esse poder capacita para testemunho e serviço.

8 "yet you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you are to be my witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the very ends of the earth."

7 For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but a spirit of power and of love and of self-control.

19 "Behold, I give you the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and to trample on all the power of the enemy. In no case shall anything do you harm.

Poder na Palavra e na fé

A Palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, mais cortante que espada de dois gumes. O poder não está em palavras, mas na demonstração do Espírito.

12 For living is the Word of God, and active, and sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the severance of soul form spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the very thoughts and conceptions of the heart.

17 Moreover these signs shall follow those who believe. They shall drive out demons in my name; they shall speak with new tongues in foreign languages;18 they shall pick up serpents, and if they drink any poison it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."

12 "I tell you solemnly that he who trusts in me shall himself do the works that I am doing; and still greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

Fortalecidos pelo Senhor

Tudo posso naquele que me fortalece. O cristão encontra poder não em si mesmo, mas na força do Senhor e na sua armadura espiritual.

13 I am strong for everything in Him who gives me strength.

10 Finally, my brothers, let your hearts be strengthened in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 that you may be strengthened in every kind of strength by the might of his glory for every kind of patience and fortitude with good cheer.

7 So then ever be subject to God, Ever resist the devil and he will flee from you.

39 And he awoke, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!"40 The wind fell, and there ensued a great calm. Then he said to them. "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?"41 Then they were awestruck, and said one to another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey him!"
