Profecia
A profecia é a voz de Deus revelada ao seu povo. Através dos profetas, Deus comunicou seus planos, advertiu contra o pecado e anunciou a vinda do Messias.
Profecia e revelação divina
A profecia na Bíblia não é invenção humana, mas homens santos de Deus falaram movidos pelo Espírito Santo, revelando os mistérios divinos.
21 For no prophecy was ever brought by a will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being led by Holy Spirit.
7 Surely lord LORD will do nothing unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets.
5 And when they heard this, they were immersed in the name of the Lord Jesus.6 And Paul having laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues, and prophesied.
Profecias messiânicas cumpridas
As profecias do Antigo Testamento sobre o Messias se cumpriram em Jesus. Seu nascimento, ministério e sacrifício foram anunciados séculos antes.
14 Therefore LORD himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
22 Now all this has come to pass, so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, which says,23 Behold, the virgin will have in her womb, and will bring forth a son. And they will call his name Immanuel, which is, being interpreted, God with us.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion. Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem. Behold, thy king comes to thee. He is just, and having salvation, lowly, and riding upon a donkey, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.
21 But now a righteousness of God has been manifested independent of law, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.22 And the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ is for all and upon all those who believe, for there is no distinction.
Discernimento profético
A Bíblia nos alerta para examinar tudo e reter o que é bom. Nem todo que profetiza fala da parte de Deus — devemos provar os espíritos.
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but examine the spirits, whether they are of God, because many FALSE prophets have gone out into the world.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and ye have overcome them, because greater is he in you than he in the world.
21 but examine all things. Hold firm the good.22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
15 But beware of FALSE prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are predatory wolves.
12 All things therefore, as many as ye may want that men should do to you, so also do ye to them, for this is the law and the prophets.
2 And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
19 So then ye are no more alien and foreign, but fellow citizens of the sanctified, and belonging to the household of God.20 Which was built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner,
5 Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the prince of my people, Thus says LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears. Behold, I will heal thee. On the third day thou shall go up to the house of LORD.
