O sangue de Jesus é o fundamento da redenção cristã. Através do seu sangue derramado na cruz, recebemos perdão, purificação e acesso à presença de Deus.
O poder redentor do sangue
O sangue de Cristo é o preço do nosso resgate. Sem derramamento de sangue não há remissão de pecados, e Cristo ofereceu o sacrifício perfeito e definitivo.
22 Almost all things are by the Law purified with blood. There is no forgiveness unless blood is poured out.
13 The blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes from the burning of a young cow, sprinkled on the unclean made them outwardly clean.14 The blood of Christ did even more. Perdão e purificação
O sangue de Jesus nos purifica de todo pecado. Nele temos redenção e perdão, segundo as riquezas de sua graça.

O sangue da aliança
Desde o Êxodo, o sangue é sinal de aliança entre Deus e seu povo. O sangue do Cordeiro pascal prefigurava o sacrifício supremo de Cristo.
21 Moses called all the elders of Israel and said: »Take lambs according to your families and slay the Passover lamb.22 »Take a bunch of hyssop and dip it in the blood that is in the basin. Apply some of the blood that is in the basin to the lintel and the two doorposts. No one shall go outside the door of his house until morning.23 »Jehovah will pass through to strike the Egyptians. When he sees the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe, Jehovah will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to kill you.
11 »This is because life of every living thing is in the blood. I have given this blood to you to pay compensation for wrongdoing and make peace with me on the altar. Blood is needed to pay compensation for wrongdoing and make peace with me.«
4 »You must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.5 »I will require your lifeblood as an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. 33 »If you did this, you would defile the land where you are living. Murder defiles the land, and except by the death of the murderer there is no way to perform the ritual of purification for the land where someone has been murdered.
Vitória pelo sangue
Os cristãos vencem o acusador pelo sangue do Cordeiro e pela palavra do seu testemunho. O sangue comprou para Deus gente de toda tribo e língua.
11 They conquered overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives when faced with death.
18 Know that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers. The redemption was not with corruptible things like silver or gold,19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ.

6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not come with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. The Spirit gives witness because it is the truth.
