O Salmo 23 é a expressão máxima da confiança em Deus como Pastor. Jesus se declarou o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas, cuida delas e dá a própria vida por elas.
O Senhor é o meu Pastor
Davi declarou com confiança que o Senhor é seu pastor e nada lhe faltará. Ele nos guia, nos restaura e nos conduz em caminhos de justiça.

1 Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.3 He restores me and he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
9 Save your people, and bless those who belong to you. Be their shepherd, and carry them forever.
O Bom Pastor
Jesus é o Bom Pastor que conhece suas ovelhas pelo nome. Ele dá a vida por elas, as protege e nenhuma pode ser arrebatada de sua mão.
11 »I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
14 »I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and my own know me.15 Just as the Father knows me I know the Father! I lay down my life for the sheep.16 »I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I will also bring them. They will hear my voice and they will become one flock, one shepherd.
2 »He who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.3 »The doorkeeper opens to him and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his sheep by name and leads them.4 »When all of his own are out he leads them. The sheep follow him for they know his voice.
25 For you were straying like sheep. But now you have returned to your shepherd and overseer.
4 When the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Como pastor terno e forte, Deus carrega os cordeiros nos braços e guia com cuidado as ovelhas que amamentam.
10 See the Sovereign Lord Jehovah comes with power. His arm power rules for him. See, his reward is with him and his recompense accompanies him.11 He tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart. He gently leads those that have young.
