A sexualidade no plano de Deus
Desde a criação, Deus projetou a intimidade sexual como expressão de amor entre marido e mulher, abençoando a união conjugal.
And God creates the man in His image; in the image of God He created him, a male and a female He created them. And God blesses them, and God says to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping on the earth."
therefore a man leaves his father and his mother, and has cleaved to his wife, and they have become one flesh.
And He answering said to them, "Did you not read that He who made [them] from the beginning, made them a male and a female, and said, For this cause will a man leave father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they will be—the two—for one flesh? So that they are no longer two, but one flesh; what therefore God joined together, let no man separate."
Let your fountain be blessed, || And rejoice because of the wife of your youth, A doe of loves, and a roe of grace! Let her loves satisfy you at all times, || Magnify yourself in her love continually.
A santidade na intimidade
O leito conjugal é honroso. A Bíblia celebra a alegria da intimidade dentro do casamento e orienta o casal ao amor e respeito mútuo.
The marriage [is to be] honored by all, and the bed undefiled, for God will judge whoremongers and adulterers.
to the wife let the husband render the due benevolence, and in like manner also the wife to the husband; the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband; and in like manner also, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife.
and if they do not have continence—let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn;
And He did not make one [only], || And a remnant of the Spirit [is] for him. And what [is] the one [alone]! He is seeking a godly seed. And you have been watchful over your spirit, || And with the wife of your youth, || None deal treacherously.
Have you not known that your bodies are members of Christ? Having taken, then, the members of the Christ, will I make [them] members of a prostitute? Let it not be! Have you not known that he who is joined to the prostitute is one body? For it says, "The two will be into one flesh." And he who is joined to the LORD is one spirit;
Pureza sexual
Deus nos chama à santificação e à fuga da imoralidade. O corpo do cristão é templo do Espírito Santo e deve ser tratado com honra.
flee the whoredom; every sin—whatever a man may commit—is outside the body, and he who is committing whoredom sins against his own body. Have you not known that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God? And you are not your own, for you were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
for this is the will of God—your sanctification: that you abstain from the whoredom, that each of you know to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God,
and whoredom, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, do not let it even be named among you, as is proper to holy ones;
but I say to you that everyone who is looking on a woman to desire her, already committed adultery with her in his heart.
as in daytime, let us walk properly; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in promiscuity and licentiousness, not in strife and jealousy;
You do not commit adultery.
None of you draws near to any relation of his flesh to uncover nakedness; I [am] YHWH. You do not uncover the nakedness of your father and the nakedness of your mother, she [is] your mother; you do not uncover her nakedness. You do not uncover the nakedness of the wife of your father; it [is] the nakedness of your father. The nakedness of your sister, daughter of your father, or daughter of your mother, born at home or born outside—you do not uncover their nakedness. The nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter—you do not uncover their nakedness; for theirs [is] your nakedness. The nakedness of a daughter of your father’s wife, begotten of your father, she [is] your sister—you do not uncover her nakedness. You do not uncover the nakedness of a sister of your father; she [is] a relation of your father. You do not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she [is] your mother’s relation. You do not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother; you do not draw near to his wife; she [is] your aunt. You do not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law; she [is] your son’s wife; you do not uncover her nakedness. You do not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; it [is] your brother’s nakedness. You do not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, nor do you take her son’s daughter and her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they [are] her relations; it [is] wickedness. And you do not take a woman [in addition] to her sister, to be an adversary, to uncover her nakedness beside her, in her life. And you do not draw near to a woman in the separation of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness. And you do not give your seed [from] intercourse to the wife of your fellow, to become unclean with her. And you do not give from your seed to pass over to the Molech, nor do you defile the Name of your God; I [am] YHWH. And you do not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it [is] an abomination. And you do not commit your intercourse with any beast, to become unclean with it; and a woman does not stand before a beast to mate with it; it [is] perversion.
professing to be wise, they were made fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and of quadrupeds, and of reptiles. For this reason also God gave them up, in the desires of their hearts, to uncleanness, to dishonor their bodies among themselves; who changed the truth of God into the lie, and honored and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all ages. Amen. Because of this God gave them up to dishonorable affections, for even their females changed the natural use into that against nature; and in like manner also the males having left the natural use of the female, burned in their longing toward one another; males with males working shame, and the repayment of their error that was fit, in themselves receiving.
