Temor dos homens
O temor dos homens é uma armadilha que paralisa a fé. A Bíblia nos convida a trocar o medo humano pela confiança em Deus, que é nosso refúgio e escudo.
Não temas os homens
Deus é a nossa luz e salvação — de quem teremos medo? A Escritura nos encoraja a não temer aqueles que podem destruir o corpo, mas não a alma.
1 LORD is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? LORD is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, [even] my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.3 Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
28 And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
4 And I say to you my friends, Be not afraid of those who kill the body, and after these things not having anything more severe to do.5 But I will show you whom ye should fear. Fear him, who, after killing, has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear ye him.
Confiança em Deus acima do medo
Quando tememos a Deus, o medo dos homens perde o poder. O Senhor está conosco, e se Ele é por nós, quem será contra nós?
3 What time I am afraid, I will put my trust in thee.4 In God I will praise his word. In God I have put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
6 LORD is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me?
6 So then we have confidence to say, Lord is a helper to me, and I will not fear. What will man do to me?
22 Ye shall not fear them, for LORD your God, he it is who fights for you.
