Vizinho

31 and the second [is] like [it], this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself; -- greater than these there is no other command.

14 for all the law in one word is fulfilled -- in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;

9 for, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false testimony, Thou shalt not covet; and if there is any other command, in this word it is summed up, in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;

10 the love to the neighbor doth work no ill; the love, therefore, [is] the fulness of law.

12 All things, therefore, whatever ye may will that men may be doing to you, so also do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.

Amor em ação

O amor verdadeiro se mostra em ações concretas: hospitalidade, generosidade e cuidado com os necessitados ao nosso redor.

1 Let brotherly love remain;2 of the hospitality be not forgetful, for through this unawares certain did entertain messengers;

27 religion pure and undefiled with the God and Father is this, to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation -- unspotted to keep himself from the world.

8 and, before all things, to one another having the earnest love, because the love shall cover a multitude of sins;

10 therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith.

11 because this is the message that ye did hear from the beginning, that we may love one another,

34 A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; according as I did love you, that ye also love one another;

Edificação e encorajamento mútuo

Somos chamados a encorajar uns aos outros, carregar os fardos alheios e buscar o bem do próximo acima do próprio interesse.

2 of one another the burdens bear ye, and so fill up the law of the Christ,

2 for let each one of us please the neighbor for good, unto edification,

10 in the love of brethren, to one another kindly affectioned: in the honour going before one another;

12 and you the Lord cause to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,

Humildade, perdão e convivência

O relacionamento com o próximo exige humildade, paciência e disposição para perdoar. Não devemos julgar, mas acolher com compaixão.

3 nothing in rivalry or vain-glory, but in humility of mind one another counting more excellent than yourselves --

13 forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any one with any one may have a quarrel, as also the Christ did forgive you -- so also ye;

13 no longer, therefore, may we judge one another, but this judge ye rather, not to put a stumbling-stone before the brother, or an offence.

1 Therefore, thou art inexcusable, O man -- every one who is judging -- for in that in which thou dost judge the other, thyself thou dost condemn, for the same things thou dost practise who art judging,

8 And finally, being all of one mind, having fellow-feeling, loving as brethren, compassionate, courteous,

5 One doth judge one day above another, and another doth judge every day [alike]; let each in his own mind be fully assured.

14 To a despiser of his friends [is] shame, And the fear of the Mighty he forsaketh.
