1 Peso da palavra do Senhor sobre Israel: Fala o Senhor, o que estende o céu, e que funda a terra, e que forma o espírito do homem dentro dele.2 Eis que eu farei de Jerusalém um copo de tremor para todos os povos em redor, e também para Judá, durante o cerco contra Jerusalém.3 E acontecerá naquele dia que farei de Jerusalém uma pedra pesada para todos os povos; todos os que a carregarem certamente serão despedaçados; e ajuntar-se-á contra ela todo o povo da terra.4 Naquele dia, diz o Senhor, ferirei de espanto a todos os cavalos, e de loucura os que montam neles; mas sobre a casa de Judá abrirei os meus olhos, e ferirei de cegueira a todos os cavalos dos povos.5 Então os governadores de Judá dirão no seu coração: Os habitantes de Jerusalém são a minha força no Senhor dos Exércitos, seu Deus.6 Naquele dia porei os governadores de Judá como um braseiro ardente no meio da lenha, e como um facho de fogo entre gavelas; e à direita e à esquerda consumirão a todos os povos em redor, e Jerusalém será habitada outra vez no seu lugar, em Jerusalém;7 E o Senhor salvará primeiramente as tendas de Judá, para que a glória da casa de Davi e a glória dos habitantes de Jerusalém não seja exaltada sobre Judá.8 Naquele dia o Senhor protegerá os habitantes de Jerusalém; e o mais fraco dentre eles naquele dia será como Davi, e a casa de Davi será como Deus, como o anjo do Senhor diante deles.9 E acontecerá naquele dia, que procurarei destruir todas as nações que vierem contra Jerusalém;10 Mas sobre a casa de Davi, e sobre os habitantes de Jerusalém, derramarei o Espírito de graça e de súplicas; e olharão para mim, a quem traspassaram; e prantearão sobre ele, como quem pranteia pelo filho unigênito; e chorarão amargamente por ele, como se chora amargamente pelo primogênito.11 Naquele dia será grande o pranto em Jerusalém, como o pranto de Hadade-Rimom no vale de Megido.12 E a terra pranteará, cada família à parte: a família da casa de Davi à parte, e suas mulheres à parte; e a família da casa de Natã à parte, e suas mulheres à parte;13 A família da casa de Levi à parte, e suas mulheres à parte; a família de Simei à parte, e suas mulheres à parte.14 Todas as mais famílias remanescentes, cada família à parte, e suas mulheres à parte.

1 The prophecy of the word of the Lord concerning Israel, Saith the Lord, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of confusion unto all the people round about; and also against Judah, who will have to be at the siege against Jerusalem.3 And it shall come to pass on that day that I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all the people; all that burden themselves with it shall be severely cut: yet then will be gathered together against it all the nations of the earth.4 On that day, saith the Lord, will I smite every horse with dizziness, and his rider with madness; but over the house of Judah will I open my eyes, while I will smite every horse of the people with blindness.5 And the chiefs of Judah will say in their heart, A strong support for me are the inhabitants of Jerusalem through the Lord of hosts their God.6 On that day will I make the chiefs of Judah like a fire–hearth among the wood, and like a torch of fire among sheaves; and they shall devour on the right hand and on the left all the people round about; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.7 The Lord also will save the tents of Judah first: in order that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not become boastful over Judah.8 On that day will the Lord be a shield around the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and the feeblest among them shall be on that day like David; and the house of David shall be like divine beings, like an angel of the Lord before them.9 And it shall come to pass on that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that are come against Jerusalem.10 But I will pour out over the house of David, and over the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they will look up toward me for every one whom they have thrust through, and they will lament for him, as one lamenteth for an only son, and weep bitterly for him, as one weepeth bitterly for the first–born.11 On that day will the lamentation be great in Jerusalem, like the lamentation at Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.12 And the land will mourn, every family apart by itself: the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shim’i apart, and their wives apart;14 All the families that remain, every family apart by itself, and their wives apart.
