1 Quanto aos filhos de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel (pois era o primogênito, mas, por ter profanado o leito de seu pai, deu-se a sua primogenitura aos filhos de José, filho de Israel; de modo que, na genealogia, não foi contado como primogênito. 2 Judá, na verdade, foi poderoso entre seus irmãos, e dele veio o príncipe; porém o direito da primogenitura foi de José.), 3 foram estes: Enoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi. 4 O filho de Joel: Semaías, de quem foi filho Gogue, de quem foi filho Simei, 5 de quem foi filho Mica, de quem foi filho Reaías, de quem foi filho Baal, 6 de quem foi filho Beera, o qual Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, levou cativo; ele foi príncipe dos rubenitas. 7 Quanto a seus irmãos, pelas suas famílias, quando foram inscritos nas genealogias segundo as suas descendências, tinham por cabeças Jeiel, Zacarias, 8 Bela, filho de Azaz, filho de Sema, filho de Joel, que habitaram em Aroer, até Nebo e Baal-Meom; 9 também habitaram do lado oriental, até à entrada do deserto, o qual se estende até ao rio Eufrates, porque o seu gado se tinha multiplicado na terra de Gileade. 10 Nos dias de Saul, fizeram guerra aos hagarenos, que caíram pelo poder de sua mão, e habitaram nas tendas deles, em toda a terra fronteira de Gileade, do lado oriental.
11 Os filhos de Gade habitaram defronte deles, na terra de Basã, até Salca. 12 Joel foi o cabeça, e Safã, o segundo; também Janai e Safate estavam em Basã. 13 Seus irmãos, segundo as suas casas paternas, foram: Micael, Mesulão, Seba, Jorai, Jacã, Zia e Héber; ao todo, sete; 14 estes foram os filhos de Abiail, filho de Huri, filho de Jaroa, filho de Gileade, filho de Micael, filho de Jesisai, filho de Jado, filho de Buz. 15 Aí, filho de Abdiel, filho de Guni, foi o cabeça da sua família. 16 Habitaram em Gileade, em Basã e suas aldeias, bem como até aos limites de todos os arredores de Sarom. 17 Todos estes foram inscritos na genealogia, nos dias de Jotão, rei de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, rei de Israel.
18 Dos filhos de Rúben, dos gaditas e da meia tribo de Manassés, homens valentes, que traziam escudo e espada, entesavam o arco e eram destros na guerra, houve quarenta e quatro mil setecentos e sessenta, capazes de sair a combate. 19 Fizeram guerra aos hagarenos, como a Jetur, a Nafis e a Nodabe. 20 Foram ajudados contra eles, e os hagarenos e todos quantos estavam com eles foram entregues nas suas mãos; porque, na peleja, clamaram a Deus, que lhes deu ouvidos, porquanto confiaram nele. 21 Levaram o gado deles: cinquenta mil camelos, duzentas e cinquenta mil ovelhas, dois mil jumentos; e cem mil pessoas. 22 Porque muitos caíram feridos à espada, pois de Deus era a peleja; e habitaram no lugar deles até ao exílio.
23 Os filhos da meia tribo de Manassés habitaram naquela terra de Basã até Baal-Hermom, e Senir, e o monte Hermom; e eram numerosos. 24 Estes foram cabeças de suas famílias, a saber: Éfer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias e Jadiel, guerreiros valentes, homens famosos, cabeças de suas famílias. 25 Porém cometeram transgressões contra o Deus de seus pais e se prostituíram, seguindo os deuses dos povos da terra, os quais Deus destruíra de diante deles. 26 Pelo que o Deus de Israel suscitou o espírito de Pul, rei da Assíria, e o espírito de Tiglate-Pileser, rei da Assíria, que os levou cativos, a saber: os rubenitas, os gaditas e a meia tribo de Manassés, e os trouxe para Hala, Habor e Hara e para o rio Gozã, onde permanecem até ao dia de hoje.

2 for Judah prevailed among his brethren, and of him was the prince, but the birthright was Joseph's),
3 -the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: Enoch and Phallu, Hezron and Carmi.
4 The sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-Pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.
7 And his brethren by their families, in the genealogical register of their generations, were: the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah,
8 and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, as far as Nebo and Baal-meon;
9 and eastward he dwelt as far as the entrance to the wilderness from the river Euphrates; for their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
10 And in the days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents throughout the east side of Gilead.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan, as far as Salcah:
12 Joel was the chief and Shapham the next, and Jaanai, and Shaphat in Bashan.
13 And their brethren according to their fathers' houses were Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jaachan, and Zia, and Eber, seven.
14 -These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz:
15 Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, was chief of their fathers' house.
16 And they dwelt in Gilead in Bashan, and in its towns, and in all the pasture-grounds of Sharon, as far as their limits.
17 All these were registered by genealogy in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
18 The children of Reuben and the Gadites and half the tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men who carried shield and sword, drawing the bow and skilful in war, were forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty, able to go forth to war.
19 And they made war with the Hagarites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab;
20 and they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them, because they put their trust in him.
21 And they took away their cattle: their camels fifty thousand, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, and two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand human souls.
22 For there fell down many slain, for the war was of God. And they dwelt in their stead until the captivity.
23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan as far as Baal-Hermon and Senir, and mount Hermon; they were many.
24 And these were the heads of their fathers' houses: Epher, and Jishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, mighty men of valour, famous men, heads of their fathers' houses.
25 And they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.
26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, -unto this day.

10 Nos dias de Saul pelejaram contra os hagarenos, que caíram pela sua mão, e habitaram nas suas tendas em toda a terra da banda oriental de Gileade.
11 Defronte deles habitaram os filhos de Gade na terra de Basã até Salca:
12 o príncipe, Joel e o segundo, Safã, e Janai e Safate em Basã;
13 e seus irmãos das casas de seus pais: Micael, Mesulão, Seba, Jorai, Jacã, Zia e Eber, sete.
14 Estes foram os filhos de Abiail, filho de Huri, filho de Jaroa, filho de Gileade, filho de Micael, filho de Jesisai, filho de Jado, filho de Buz;
15 Aí, filho de Abdiel, filho de Guni, príncipe da sua família.

17 Todos estes foram registrados segundo as suas genealogias no dia de Jotão, rei de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, rei de Israel.
18 Os filhos de Rúben, os gaditas e a meia tribo de Manassés, homens corajosos, que traziam escudo e espada, e que manejavam o arco, e que eram destros na guerra, foram quarenta e quatro mil e setecentos e sessenta, que saíam à peleja.
19 Fizeram guerra contra os hagarenos, Jetur, Nafis e Nodabe.
20 Receberam auxílio contra eles, e os hagarenos e todos os que estavam com eles foram entregues às suas mãos. Pois na peleja clamavam a Deus, que lhes deu ouvidos, porque confiavam nele.
21 Levaram o gado deles: cinqüenta mil camelos, duzentos e cinqüenta mil ovelhas, e dois mil jumentos, e cem mil homens.
22 Pois caíram muitos mortos, porque de Deus era a peleja. Ficaram habitando no lugar deles até o cativeiro.
23 Os filhos da meia tribo de Manassés habitavam na terra; e multiplicaram-se desde Basã até Baal-Hermom, Senir e o monte de Hermom.
24 Estes foram os cabeças das suas famílias: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias e Jadiel, homens ilustres em valor, célebres, e cabeças das suas famílias.
25 Cometeram transgressões contra o Deus de seus pais, e prostituíram-se, seguindo os deuses dos povos da terra, que Deus exterminou de diante deles.
26 O Deus de Israel excitou o espírito de Pul, rei da Assíria, e o espírito de Tilgate-Pilneser, rei da Assíria, que levou cativos os rubenitas, os gaditas e a meia tribo de Manassés, e os trouxe para Hala, Habor e Hara, e para o rio Gosã onde permanecem até o dia de hoje.
