1 Disse o Senhor a Moisés: 2 Ordena aos filhos de Israel que lancem para fora do arraial todo leproso, todo o que padece fluxo e todo imundo por ter tocado em algum morto; 3 tanto homem como mulher os lançareis; para fora do arraial os lançareis, para que não contaminem o arraial, no meio do qual eu habito. 4 Os filhos de Israel fizeram assim e os lançaram para fora do arraial; como o Senhor falara a Moisés, assim fizeram os filhos de Israel.
5 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés: 6 Dize aos filhos de Israel: Quando homem ou mulher cometer algum dos pecados em que caem os homens, ofendendo ao Senhor, tal pessoa é culpada. 7 Confessará o pecado que cometer; e, pela culpa, fará plena restituição, e lhe acrescentará a sua quinta parte, e dará tudo àquele contra quem se fez culpado. 8 Mas, se esse homem não tiver parente chegado, a quem possa fazer restituição pela culpa, então, o que se restitui ao Senhor pela culpa será do sacerdote, além do carneiro expiatório com que se fizer expiação pelo culpado. 9 Toda oferta de todas as coisas santas dos filhos de Israel, que trouxerem ao sacerdote, será deste 10 e também as coisas sagradas de cada um; o que alguém der ao sacerdote será deste.
11 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés: 12 Fala aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Se a mulher de alguém se desviar e lhe for infiel, 13 de maneira que algum homem se tenha deitado com ela, e for oculto aos olhos de seu marido, e ela o tiver ocultado, havendo-se ela contaminado, e contra ela não houver testemunha, e não for surpreendida em flagrante, 14 e o espírito de ciúmes vier sobre ele, e de sua mulher tiver ciúmes, por ela se haver contaminado, ou o tiver, não se havendo ela contaminado, 15 então, esse homem trará a sua mulher perante o sacerdote e juntamente trará a sua oferta por ela: uma décima de efa de farinha de cevada, sobre a qual não deitará azeite, nem sobre ela porá incenso, porquanto é oferta de manjares de ciúmes, oferta memorativa, que traz a iniquidade à memória.
16 O sacerdote a fará chegar e a colocará perante o Senhor. 17 O sacerdote tomará água santa num vaso de barro; também tomará do pó que houver no chão do tabernáculo e o deitará na água. 18 Apresentará a mulher perante o Senhor e soltará a cabeleira dela; e lhe porá nas mãos a oferta memorativa de manjares, que é a oferta de manjares dos ciúmes. A água amarga, que traz consigo a maldição, estará na mão do sacerdote. 19 O sacerdote a conjurará e lhe dirá: Se ninguém contigo se deitou, e se não te desviaste para a imundícia, estando sob o domínio de teu marido, destas águas amargas, amaldiçoantes, serás livre. 20 Mas, se te desviaste, quando sob o domínio de teu marido, e te contaminaste, e algum homem, que não é o teu marido, se deitou contigo 21 (então, o sacerdote fará que a mulher tome o juramento de maldição e lhe dirá), o Senhor te ponha por maldição e por praga no meio do teu povo, fazendo-te o Senhor descair a coxa e inchar o ventre; 22 e esta água amaldiçoante penetre nas tuas entranhas, para te fazer inchar o ventre e te fazer descair a coxa. Então, a mulher dirá: Amém! Amém!
23 O sacerdote escreverá estas maldições num livro e, com a água amarga, as apagará. 24 E fará que a mulher beba a água amarga, que traz consigo a maldição; e, sendo bebida, lhe causará amargura. 25 Da mão da mulher tomará o sacerdote a oferta de manjares de ciúmes e a moverá perante o Senhor; e a trará ao altar. 26 Tomará um punhado da oferta de manjares, da oferta memorativa, e sobre o altar o queimará; e, depois, dará a beber a água à mulher. 27 E, havendo-lhe dado a beber a água, será que, se ela se tiver contaminado, e a seu marido tenha sido infiel, a água amaldiçoante entrará nela para amargura, e o seu ventre se inchará, e a sua coxa descairá; a mulher será por maldição no meio do seu povo. 28 Se a mulher se não tiver contaminado, mas estiver limpa, então, será livre e conceberá.
29 Esta é a lei para o caso de ciúmes, quando a mulher, sob o domínio de seu marido, se desviar e for contaminada; 30 ou quando sobre o homem vier o espírito de ciúmes, e tiver ciúmes de sua mulher, apresente a mulher perante o Senhor, e o sacerdote nela execute toda esta lei. 31 O homem será livre da iniquidade, porém a mulher levará a sua iniquidade.
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by a dead person:
3 both male and female shall ye put out; outside the camp shall ye put them, that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp: as Jehovah had said to Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any of all the sins of man to work unfaithfulness against Jehovah, and that soul is guilty,
7 then they shall confess their sin which they have done; and he shall recompense his trespass according to the principal thereof, and shall add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
8 And if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, the trespass which is recompensed to Jehovah shall be the priest's, besides the ram of the atonement, wherewith an atonement is made for him.
9 And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present unto the priest, shall be his.
10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatever any man giveth the priest shall be his.
11 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go astray, and commit unfaithfulness against him,
13 and a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and she be defiled in secret, and there be no witness against her, and she have not been caught;
14 and the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have been defiled, -or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have not been defiled,
15 -then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, a tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an oblation of jealousy, a memorial oblation, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before Jehovah.
17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and the priest shall take of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle, and put it into the water.
18 And the priest shall set the woman before Jehovah, and uncover the woman's head, and put the memorial oblation in her hands, which is the jealousy offering; and in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter water that bringeth the curse.
19 And the priest shall adjure her, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone astray in uncleanness, in being with another instead of thy husband, be free from this bitter water that bringeth the curse.
20 But if thou hast gone astray to another instead of thy husband, and hast been defiled, and a man other than thy husband have lain with thee,
21 -then the priest shall adjure the woman with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman: Jehovah make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when Jehovah doth make thy thigh to shrink, and thy belly to swell;
22 and this water that bringeth the curse shall enter into thy bowels, to make the belly to swell, and the thigh to shrink. And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall blot them out with the bitter water,
24 and he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that bringeth the curse, that the water that bringeth the curse may enter into her for bitterness.
25 And the priest shall take out of the woman's hand the oblation of jealousy, and shall wave the oblation before Jehovah, and shall present it at the altar.
26 And the priest shall take a handful of the oblation as a memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar; and afterwards he shall make the woman drink the water.
27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed unfaithfulness against her husband, that the water that bringeth the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall shrink; and the woman shall become a curse among her people.
28 But if the woman have not been defiled, and be clean, then she shall be clear, and shall conceive seed.
29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth astray to another instead of her husband and is defiled,
30 or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon a man, and he is jealous as regards his wife; then shall he set the woman before Jehovah, and the priest shall do to her according to all this law.
31 Then shall the man be free from iniquity, but that woman shall bear her iniquity.

2 Ordena aos filhos de Israel que lancem para fora do arraial todo o leproso, e o que padece fluxo, e o que está imundo por ter tocado num morto;
3 tanto homem como mulher os lançareis para fora, sim para fora do arraial os lançareis; para que não contaminem o seu arraial no meio do qual eu habito.
4 Assim fizeram os filhos de Israel e lançaram-nos para fora do arraial; como Jeová falou a Moisés, assim fizeram os filhos de Israel.
5 Disse mais Jeová a Moisés:
6 Dize aos filhos de Israel: Quando um homem (ou uma mulher) cometer algum dos pecados em que caem os homens, transgredindo os mandamentos de Jeová, e essa pessoa for culpada;
7 confessará o seu pecado que cometeu; pela sua culpa fará plena restituição, e lhe acrescentará a sua quinta parte, e a dará àquele contra quem incorreu na culpa.
8 Mas, se esse homem não tiver parente chegado, a quem se possa fazer restituição pela culpa, o que se restitui a Jeová pela culpa, pertencerá ao sacerdote, além do carneiro da expiação, pelo qual se fará expiação por ele.
9 Todas as ofertas movidas de todas as coisas sagradas que os filhos de Israel trouxerem ao sacerdote, também lhe pertencerão.
10 Todas as coisas que forem consagradas pertencerão ao sacerdote; tudo o que alguém der ao sacerdote será dele.
11 Disse mais Jeová a Moisés:
12 Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Se a mulher de alguém, desviando-se, lhe for infiel,
13 e um homem se deitar com ela, sendo isso oculto aos olhos de seu marido; se ela não for suspeitada, ainda que se contaminou, e contra ela não houver testemunha, visto que não foi apanhada em flagrante;
14 se o marido, tomado dum espírito de ciúmes, se abrasar contra a mulher, que de fato se contaminou; ou tomado dum espírito de ciúmes, se abrasar contra a mulher que não se contaminou:
15 o homem trará sua mulher ao sacerdote, e por ela trará a sua oblação, a décima parte duma efa de farinha de cevada. Não derramará azeite sobre a oblação, nem sobre ela porá incenso, porque é oferta de cereais por ciúmes, oferta de cereais memorativa, trazendo a iniqüidade à memória.
16 O sacerdote fará a mulher chegar, e a porá diante de Jeová.
17 O sacerdote tomará água santa num vaso de barro; também tomará do pó que está no chão do tabernáculo, e lançá-lo-á na água.
18 Apresentará a mulher diante de Jeová, e lhe descobrirá a cabeça, e lhe porá nas mãos a oferta de cereais memorativa, que é a oferta de cereais por ciúmes. O sacerdote terá na sua mão a água de amargura, que traz consigo a maldição;
19 far-lhe-á jurar e dir-lhe-á: Se nenhum homem se deitou contigo, e se tu não te desviaste para a imundícia, estando debaixo do domínio de teu marido, sê livre desta água de amargura, que traz consigo a maldição;
20 mas, se tu te desviaste, estando debaixo do domínio de teu marido, ou se estás contaminada, e um homem que não é teu marido se deitou contigo...
21 Então o sacerdote fará que a mulher tome o juramento de maldição, e lhe dirá: Jeová te ponha por maldição e por praga entre o teu povo, quando fizer que se consuma a tua coxa, e inche o teu ventre.
22 Esta água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nas tuas entranhas, e fará que inche o teu ventre e que se consuma a tua coxa. A mulher responderá: Amém, amém.
23 O sacerdote escreverá estas maldições num livro, e as apagará na água de amargura;
24 e fará que a mulher beba a água de amargura que traz consigo a maldição; e a água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nela e se tornará amarga.
25 Da mão da mulher tomará o sacerdote a oferta de cereais por ciúmes, e a moverá diante de Jeová, e a trará ao altar.
26 Tomará um punhado da oferta de cereais, como o memorial da oferta, e queimá-lo-á sobre o altar, e depois fará que a mulher beba a água.
27 Tendo feito que ela bebesse a água, se for contaminada, e tiver cometido uma transgressão contra seu marido, a água que traz consigo a maldição entrará nela, tornar-se-á amarga, inchará o seu ventre, e consumirá a sua coxa. A mulher será por maldição entre o seu povo.
28 Se a mulher não for contaminada, porém for limpa; então será livre, e conceberá filhos.
29 Esta é a lei dos ciúmes, quando uma mulher, estando debaixo do domínio de seu marido, se desviar e for contaminada;
30 ou, quando um homem, tomado dum espírito de ciúmes, se abrasar contra sua mulher. Ele apresentará a mulher diante de Jeová, e o sacerdote fará que se cumpra com ela toda esta lei.
31 O homem será livre da iniqüidade, e aquela mulher levará sobre si a sua iniqüidade.
