1 Tornei a levantar os olhos e vi, e eis um homem que tinha na mão um cordel de medir. 2 Então, perguntei: para onde vais tu? Ele me respondeu: Medir Jerusalém, para ver qual é a sua largura e qual o seu comprimento. 3 Eis que saiu o anjo que falava comigo, e outro anjo lhe saiu ao encontro. 4 E lhe disse: Corre, fala a este jovem: Jerusalém será habitada como as aldeias sem muros, por causa da multidão de homens e animais que haverá nela. 5 Pois eu lhe serei, diz o Senhor, um muro de fogo em redor e eu mesmo serei, no meio dela, a sua glória.

6 Eh! Eh! Fugi, agora, da terra do Norte, diz o Senhor, porque vos espalhei como os quatro ventos do céu, diz o Senhor. 7 Eh! Salva-te, ó Sião, tu que habitas com a filha da Babilônia. 8 Pois assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: Para obter ele a glória, enviou-me às nações que vos despojaram; porque aquele que tocar em vós toca na menina do seu olho. 9 Porque eis aí agitarei a mão contra eles, e eles virão a ser a presa daqueles que os serviram; assim, sabereis vós que o Senhor dos Exércitos é quem me enviou. 10 Canta e exulta, ó filha de Sião, porque eis que venho e habitarei no meio de ti, diz o Senhor. 11 Naquele dia, muitas nações se ajuntarão ao Senhor e serão o meu povo; habitarei no meio de ti, e saberás que o Senhor dos Exércitos é quem me enviou a ti. 12 Então, o Senhor herdará a Judá como sua porção na terra santa e, de novo, escolherá a Jerusalém. 13 Cale-se toda carne diante do Senhor, porque ele se levantou da sua santa morada.

1 And I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 And I said, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

3 And behold, the angel that talked with me went forth; and another angel went forth to meet him,

4 and said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein;

5 and I, saith Jehovah, I will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

6 Ho, ho! flee from the land of the north, saith Jehovah; for I have scattered you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, saith Jehovah.

7 Ho! escape, Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

8 For thus saith Jehovah of hosts: After the glory, hath he sent me unto the nations that made you a spoil; for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

9 For behold, I will shake my hand upon them, and they shall become a spoil to those that served them: and ye shall know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me.

10 Sing aloud and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Jehovah.

11 And many nations shall join themselves to Jehovah in that day, and shall be unto me for a people; and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

12 And Jehovah shall inherit Judah {as} his portion in the holy land, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

13 Let all flesh be silent before Jehovah; for he is risen up out of his holy habitation.

2 Então perguntei: Para onde vais tu? Respondeu-me ele: Para medir a Jerusalém, a fim de ver qual é a sua largura, e qual o seu comprimento.

3 Eis que saiu para fora o anjo que falava comigo, e outro anjo saiu-lhe ao encontro

4 e disse-lhe: Corre, fala a este mancebo: Jerusalém será habitada como aldeias não muradas por causa da multidão de homens e de animais que haverá nela.

5 Pois eu, diz Jeová, lhe serei um muro de fogo ao redor, e serei a glória no meio dela.

6 Ah, ah! fugi da terra do norte, diz Jeová, porque vos tenho espalhado como os quatro ventos do céu, diz Jeová.

7 Ah! Sião, escapa tu que habitas com a filha de Babilônia.

8 Pois assim diz Jeová dos exércitos: Para obter a glória, enviou-me às nações que vos despojaram; porque aquele que tocar em vós, toca na menina do seu olho.

9 Pois eis que agitarei a minha mão sobre eles, e eles virão a ser o despojo dos que os serviam; e sabereis que Jeová dos exércitos me enviou.

10 Canta e regozija-te, filha de Sião: porque eis que venho, e habitarei no meio de ti, diz Jeová.

11 Naquele dia muitas nações se ajuntarão a Jeová, e serão o meu povo; habitarei no meio de ti, e saberás que Jeová dos exércitos me enviou a ti.

12 Jeová herdará a Judá como a sua porção na terra santa, e ainda escolherá a Jerusalém.

13 Cala-te, toda a carne, diante de Jeová; porque ele se levantou da sua santa habitação.
