1 وخرجت القرعة لبني يوسف من اردن اريحا الى ماء اريحا نحو الشروق الى البرية الصاعدة من اريحا في جبل بيت ايل.2 وخرجت من بيت ايل الى لوز وعبرت الى تخم الاركيين الى عطاروت3 ونزلت غربا الى تخم اليفلطيّين الى تخم بيت حورون السفلى والى جازر وكانت مخارجها عند البحر.4 فملك ابنا يوسف منسّى وافرايم5 وكان تخم بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم. وكانت تخم نصيبهم شرقا عطاروت ادّار الى بيت حورون العليا6 وخرج التخم نحو البحر الى المكمتة شمالا ودار التخم شرقا الى تآنة شيلوه وعبرها شرقي ينوحة7 ونزل من ينوحة الى عطاروت ونعرات ووصل الى اريحا وخرج الى الاردن8 وجاز التخم من تفوح غربا الى وادي قانة وكانت مخارجه عند البحر. هذا هو نصيب سبط بني افرايم حسب عشائرهم9 مع المدن المفرزة لبني افرايم في وسط نصيب بني منسّى. جميع المدن وضياعها.10 فلم يطردوا الكنعانيين الساكنين في جازر. فسكن الكنعانيون في وسط افرايم الى هذا اليوم وكانوا عبيدا تحت الجزية

1 And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, to the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goes up from Jericho throughout mount Bethel,2 And goes out from Bethel to Luz, and passes along to the borders of Archi to Ataroth,3 And goes down westward to the coast of Japhleti, to the coast of Bethhoron the nether, and to Gezer; and the goings out thereof are at the sea.4 So the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.5 And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Atarothaddar, to Bethhoron the upper;6 And the border went out toward the sea to Michmethah on the north side; and the border went about eastward to Taanathshiloh, and passed by it on the east to Janohah;7 And it went down from Janohah to Ataroth, and to Naarath, and came to Jericho, and went out at Jordan.8 The border went out from Tappuah westward to the river Kanah; and the goings out thereof were at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim by their families.9 And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.10 And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelled in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day, and serve under tribute.
