1 ويل للمتمردة المنجسة المدينة الجائرة.2 لم تسمع الصوت. لم تقبل التاديب. لم تتكل على الرب. لم تتقرب الى الهها.3 رؤساؤها في وسطها اسود زائرة. قضاتها ذئاب مساء لا يبقون شيئا الى الصباح.4 انبياؤها متفاخرون اهل غدرات. كهنتها نجّسوا القدس خالفوا الشريعة.5 الرب عادل في وسطها لا يفعل ظلما. غداة غداة يبرز حكمه الى النور لا يتعذّر. اما الظالم فلا يعرف الخزي.6 قطعت امما خرّبت شرفاتهم اقفرت اسواقهم بلا عابر. دمرت مدنهم بلا انسان بغير ساكن.7 فقلت انك لتخشينني تقبلين التأديب فلا ينقطع مسكنها حسب كل ما عيّنته عليها. لكن بكّروا وافسدوا جميع اعمالهم8 لذلك فانتظروني يقول الرب الى يوم اقوم الى السلب لان حكمي هو بجمع الامم وحشر الممالك لاصبّ عليهم سخطي كل حمو غضبي لانه بنار غيرتي تؤكل كل الارض.9 لاني حينئذ احول الشعوب الى شفة نقية ليدعوا كلهم باسم الرب ليعبدوه بكتف واحدة.10 من عبر انهار كوش المتضرعون اليّ متبدديّ يقدمون تقدمتي.11 في ذلك اليوم لا تخزين من كل اعمالك التي تعديت بها عليّ. لاني حينئذ انزع من وسطك مبتهجي كبريائك ولن تعودي بعد الى التكبر في جبل قدسي.12 وابقي في وسطك شعبا بائسا ومسكينا فيتوكلون على اسم الرب.13 بقية اسرائيل لا يفعلون اثما ولا يتكلمون بالكذب ولا يوجد في افواههم لسان غش لانهم يرعون ويربضون ولا مخيف14 ترنمي يا ابنة صهيون اهتف يا اسرائيل افرحي وابتهجي بكل قلبك يا ابنة اورشليم.15 قد نزع الرب الاقضية عليك ازال عدوك. ملك اسرائيل الرب في وسطك. لا تنظرين بعد شرا.16 في ذلك اليوم يقال لاورشليم لا تخافي يا صهيون لا ترتخ يداك.17 الرب الهك في وسطك جبار. يخلّص. يبتهج بك فرحا. يسكت في محبته. يبتهج بك بترنم.18 اجمع المحزونين على الموسم. كانوا منك. حاملين عليها العار.19 هانذا في ذلك اليوم اعامل كل مذلّليك واخلص الظالعة واجمع المنفية واجعلهم تسبيحة واسما في كل ارض خزيهم20 في الوقت الذي فيه آتي بكم وفي وقت جمعي اياكم. لاني اصيّركم اسما وتسبيحة في شعوب الارض كلها حين ارد مسبييكم قدام اعينكم قال الرب

1 Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!2 She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.3 Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.4 Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.5 The just LORD is in the middle thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning does he bring his judgment to light, he fails not; but the unjust knows no shame.6 I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passes by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.7 I said, Surely you will fear me, you will receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.8 Therefore wait you on me, said the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour on them my indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call on the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring my offering.11 In that day shall you not be ashamed for all your doings, wherein you have transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the middle of you them that rejoice in your pride, and you shall no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.12 I will also leave in the middle of you an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.15 The LORD has taken away your judgments, he has cast out your enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the middle of you: you shall not see evil any more.16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear you not: and to Zion, Let not your hands be slack.17 The LORD your God in the middle of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over you with singing.18 I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of you, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict you: and I will save her that halts, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.20 At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, said the LORD.
