1 Why do the nations rage,

And the peoples meditate a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves,

And the rulers take counsel together,

Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bonds asunder,

And cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh:

The Lord will have them in derision.

5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath,

And vex them in his sore displeasure:

6 Yet I have set my king

Upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 I will tell of the decree:

Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son;

This day have I begotten thee.

8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance,

And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;

Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings:

Be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve Jehovah with fear,

And rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way,

For his wrath will soon be kindled.

Blessed are all they that take refuge in him.

2 Împărații pământului se răscoală

și domnitorii se sfătuiesc împreună

împotriva Domnului și împotriva Unsului Său*Ps. 45:7.Ioan 1:41., zicând:

3 „Să le rupem*Ier. 5:5.Luca 19:14. legăturile

și să scăpăm de lanțurile lor!"

4 Cel ce*Ps. 11:4. șade în ceruri râde*Ps. 37:13;59:8.Prov. 1:26.,

Domnul Își bate joc de ei.

5 Apoi, în mânia Lui, le vorbește

și-i îngrozește cu urgia Sa, zicând:

6 „Totuși Eu am uns pe Împăratul Meu

pe Sion, muntele*2 Sam. 5:7. Meu cel sfânt."

7 „Eu voi vesti hotărârea Lui", zice Unsul.

„Domnul Mi-a zis: ‘Tu*Fapte 13:33.Evr. 1:5;5:5. ești Fiul Meu!

Astăzi Te-am născut.

8 Cere-Mi*Ps. 22:27;72:8;89:27.Dan. 7:13,14.Ioan 17:4,5;19:15. și-Ți voi da neamurile de moștenire

și marginile pământului în stăpânire!

9 Tu*Ps. 89:23.Apoc. 2:27;12:5. le vei zdrobi cu un toiag de fier

și le vei sfărâma ca pe vasul unui olar.’"

10 Acum dar, împărați, purtați-vă cu înțelepciune!

Luați învățătură, judecătorii pământului!

11 Slujiți*Evr. 12:28. Domnului cu frică

și bucurați-vă tremurând*Filip. 2:12..

12 Dați cinste*Gen. 41:40.1 Sam. 10:1.Ioan 5:23. Fiului, ca să nu Se mânie

și să nu pieriți pe calea voastră,

căci mânia*Apoc. 6:16,17. Lui este gata să se aprindă!

Ferice*Ps. 34:8;84:12.Prov. 16:20.Is. 30:18.Ier. 17:7.Rom. 9:33;10:11.1 Pet. 2:6. de toți câți se încred în El!
