A Psalm of David.

1 Ascribe unto Jehovah, O ye sons of the mighty,

Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength.

2 Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name;

Worship Jehovah in holy array.

3 The voice of Jehovah is upon the waters:

The God of glory thundereth,

Even Jehovah upon many waters.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful;

The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaketh the cedars;

Yea, Jehovah breaketh in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf;

Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild-ox.

7 The voice of Jehovah cleaveth the flames of fire.

8 The voice of Jehovah shaketh the wilderness;

Jehovah shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

9 The voice of Jehovah maketh the hinds to calve,

And strippeth the forests bare:

And in his temple everything saith, Glory.

10 Jehovah sat as King at the Flood;

Yea, Jehovah sitteth as King for ever.

11 Jehovah will give strength unto his people;

Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

1 Fiii lui Dumnezeu, dați*1 Cron. 16:28,29.Ps. 96:7-9. Domnului,

dați Domnului slavă și cinste!

2 Dați Domnului slava cuvenită Numelui Lui!

Închinați-vă înaintea Domnului îmbrăcați cu podoabe*2 Cron. 20:21. sfinte!

3 Glasul Domnului răsună pe ape,

Dumnezeul*Iov 37:4,5. slavei face să bubuie tunetul:

Domnul este pe ape mari.

4 Glasul Domnului este puternic,

glasul Domnului este măreț.

5 Glasul Domnului sfărâmă cedrii;

Domnul sfărâmă cedrii*Is. 2:13. Libanului,

6 îi*Ps. 114:4. face să sară ca niște viței,

și Libanul și Sirionul*Deut. 3:9. sar ca niște pui de bivoli.

7 Glasul Domnului face să țâșnească flăcări de foc,

8 glasul Domnului face să se cutremure pustia;

Domnul face să tremure pustia Cades*Num. 13:26..

9 Glasul Domnului face pe cerboaice*Iov 39:1-3. să nască;

El despoaie pădurile;

în locașul Lui totul strigă: „Slavă!"

10 Domnul stătea*Gen. 6:17.Iov 38:8,25.Ps. 10:16. pe scaunul Lui de domnie când cu potopul

și Domnul împărățește în veci pe scaunul Lui de domnie.

11 Domnul*Ps. 28:8. dă tărie poporului Său,

Domnul binecuvântează pe poporul Său cu pace.
