35 " ‘If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and are unable to support themselves among you, help them as you would a foreigner and stranger, so they can continue to live among you. 36 Do not take interest or any profit from them, but fear your God, so that they may continue to live among you.

35 "If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, Deut. 15:7,8;[Ps. 41:1;112:5,9;Prov. 14:31;Acts 11:29;1 John 3:17]you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you. 36 See Ex. 22:25Take no interest from him or profit, but ver. 17, 43;Neh. 5:9;[Mal. 3:5]fear your God, that your brother may live beside you.

35 ‘Now in case a countryman of yours becomes poor and his 25:35 Lit handmeans among you falter, then you are to sustain him, like a stranger or a resident, so that he may live with you. 36 Do not take 25:36 Prob. interest on money and food loansany kind of interest from him, but 25:36 Or reverefear your God, so that your countryman may live with you.
17 Do not afflict your countrymen, but let every one fear his God: because I am the Lord your God. 35 If thy brother be impoverished, and weak of hand, and thou receive him as a stranger and sojourner, and he live with thee, 36 Take not usury of him nor more than thou gavest: fear thy God, that thy brother may live with thee.
14-17 "If you sell or buy property from one of your countrymen, don’t cheat him. Calculate the purchase price on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. He is obliged to set the sale price on the basis of the number of harvests remaining until the next Jubilee. The more years left, the more money; you can raise the price. But the fewer years left, the less money; decrease the price. What you are buying and selling in fact is the number of crops you’re going to harvest. Don’t cheat each other. Fear your God. I am God, your God.
35-38 "If one of your brothers becomes indigent and cannot support himself, help him, the same as you would a foreigner or a guest so that he can continue to live in your neighborhood. Don’t gouge him with interest charges; out of reverence for your God help your brother to continue to live with you in the neighborhood. Don’t take advantage of his plight by running up big interest charges on his loans, and don’t give him food for profit. I am your God who brought you out of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.
