Filipenses 4

1 So that, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, thus stand fast in the Lord, beloved. 2 I exhort Euodia, and exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord; 3 yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names are in the book of life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your gentleness be known of all men. The Lord is near. 6 Be careful about nothing; but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses every understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts by Christ Jesus. 8 For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are noble, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are amiable, whatsoever things areof good report; if there be any virtue and if any praise, think on these things. 9 What ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, these things do; and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now however at length ye have revived your thinking of me, though surely ye did also think of me, but lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak as regards privation, for as to me I have learnt in those circumstances in which I am, to be satisfied in myself. 12 I know both how to be abased and I know how to abound. In everything and in all things I am initiated both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer privation. 13 I have strength for all things in him that gives me power. 14 But ye have done well in taking part in my affliction. 15 And know also ye, O Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I came out of Macedonia, no assembly communicated anything to me in the way of giving and receiving save ye alone; 16 for also in Thessalonica once and even twice ye sent to me for my need. 17 Not that I seek gift, but I seek fruit abounding to your account. 18 But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things sent from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God. 19 But my God shall abundantly supply all your need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

20 But to our God and Father be glory to the ages of ages. Amen. 21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me salute you. 22 All the saints salute you, and specially those of the household of Caesar. 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

2 A Euodias ruego, y á Syntychê ✝4.2 cp. 2.2.exhorto, que sientan lo mismo en el Señor.

3 Asimismo te ruego también á ti, hermano compañero, ayuda á las que trabajaron juntamente conmigo en el evangelio, con Clemente también, y los demás mis colaboradores, cuyos nombres están en ✝4.3 Ex. 32.32. Sal. 69.28. Dn. 12.1. Lc. 10.20.el libro de la vida.

4 Gozaos en el Señor siempre: ✝4.4 cp. 3.1.otra vez digo: Que os gocéis.

5 Vuestra ✝4.5 Tit. 3.2. Stg. 3.17.modestia sea conocida de todos los hombres. ✝4.5 Ro. 13.11. 1 Co. 16.22.El Señor está cerca.

6 Por nada estéis afanosos; ✝4.6 Mt. 6.25.sino sean notorias vuestras peticiones delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con hacimiento de gracias.

7 Y ✝4.7 Jn. 14.27. Ro. 5.1. Col. 3.15.la paz de Dios, que sobrepuja todo entendimiento, guardará vuestros corazones y vuestros entendimientos en Cristo Jesús.

8 Por lo demás, hermanos, todo lo que es verdadero, todo lo honesto, todo lo justo, todo lo puro, todo lo amable, ✝4.8 1 Ts. 5.22.todo lo que es de buen nombre; si hay virtud alguna, si alguna alabanza, en esto pensad.

9 Lo que aprendisteis ✝4.9 cp. 3.17.y recibisteis y oísteis y visteis en mí, esto haced; y ✝4.9 Ro. 15.33.el Dios de paz será con vosotros.

10 Mas en gran manera me gocé en el Señor de que ya al fin ha reflorecido ✝4.10 2 Co. 11.9.vuestro cuidado de mí; de lo cual aun estabais solícitos, pero ✝4.10 cp. 2.30.os faltaba la oportunidad.

11 No lo digo en razón de indigencia, pues he aprendido á ✝4.11 1 Ti. 6.6.contentarme con lo que tengo.

12 Sé estar humillado, y sé tener abundancia: en todo y por todo estoy enseñado, así para hartura como para hambre, así para tener abundancia como para padecer necesidad.

13 Todo lo puedo ✝4.13 Jn. 15.5. 2 Co. 12.9.en Cristo ✝4.13 1 Ti. 1.12.que me fortalece.

14 Sin embargo, bien hicisteis que ✝4.14 cp. 1.7.comunicasteis juntamente á mi tribulación.

15 Y sabéis también vosotros, oh Filipenses, que ✝4.15 cp. 1.5.al principio del evangelio, cuando partí de ✝4.15 Hch. 16.12.Macedonia, ✝4.15 2 Co. 11.8,9.ninguna iglesia me comunicó en razón de dar y recibir, sino vosotros solos.

16 Porque aun á ✝4.16 Hch. 17.1.Tesalónica me enviasteis lo necesario una y dos veces.

17 ✝ 4.17 2 Co. 9.5. No porque busque dádivas; mas busco fruto que abunde en vuestra cuenta.

18 Empero todo lo he recibido, y tengo abundancia: estoy lleno, habiendo recibido ✝4.18 cp. 2.25.de Epafrodito lo que enviasteis, ✝4.18 Ef. 5.2.olor de suavidad, ✝4.18 He. 13.16.sacrificio acepto, agradable á Dios.

19 Mi Dios, pues, ✝4.19 2 Co. 9.8.suplirá todo lo que os falta ✝4.19 Ef. 3.16.conforme á sus riquezas en gloria en Cristo Jesús.

20 ✝ 4.20 Ro. 16.27. Ga. 1.4. Al Dios pues y Padre nuestro sea gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.

21 Saludad á todos los santos en Cristo Jesús. ✝4.21 Ga. 1.2.Los hermanos que están conmigo os saludan.
