Hallelujah Singet Jahwe ein neues Lied, sein Lob in der Versammlung der Frommen!2 Israel freue sich seines Schöpfers; die Kinder Zions sollen frohlocken über ihren König!3 Loben sollen sie seinen Namen mit Reigen, mit Tamburin und Laute ihm Psalmen singen!4 Denn Jahwe hat Wohlgefallen an seinem Volke; er schmückt die Sanftmütigen mit Rettung.5 Es sollen jubeln die Frommen in O. über die Herrlichkeit, jauchzen auf ihren Lagern!6 Lobeserhebungen Gottes El seien in ihrer Kehle, und ein zweischneidiges Schwert in ihrer Hand,7 um Rache auszuüben an den Nationen, Bestrafungen an den Völkerschaften;8 ihre Könige zu binden mit Ketten, und ihre Edlen mit eisernen Fesseln; Eig. Fußeisen9 an ihnen auszuüben das geschriebene Gericht! Das ist die Ehre aller seiner Frommen. Lobet Jahwe! Hallelujah

1 Hallelujah! Sing unto Jehovah a new song; {sing} his praise in the congregation of the godly.2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.3 Let them praise his name in the dance; let them sing psalms unto him with the tambour and harp.4 For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people; he beautifieth the meek with salvation.5 Let the godly exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.6 Let the high praises of *God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand:7 To execute vengeance against the nations, {and} punishment among the peoples;8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;9 To execute upon them the judgment written.
