Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

1 *Matt. 10:1;Mark 3:13-15;6:7And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, 2 *Matt. 10:5,7,8;[ver. 11;ch. 10:1,9] and he sent them out to *ver. 11, 60;See ch. 4:43proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. 3 *For ver. 3-5, see Matt. 10:9-14;Mark 6:8-11;[ch. 10:4-11; 22:35] And he said to them, "Take nothing for your journey, *[Mark 6:8]no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics.*9:3 Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin4 And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.5 And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town *Acts 13:51;[Neh. 5:13;Acts 18:6] shake off the dust from your feet *See Mark 1:44as a testimony *James 5:3against them."6 *Mark 6:12And they departed and went through the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.
