Luke 9

Sending Out the Twelve

1 Then *Matt. 10:1, 2; Mark 3:13; 6:7He called His twelve disciples together and *Mark 16:17, 18; (John 14:12)gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 *Matt. 10:7, 8; Mark 6:12; Luke 10:1, 9He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 *Matt. 10:9–15; Mark 6:8–11; Luke 10:4–12; 22:35And He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.

4 *Matt. 10:11; Mark 6:10"Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart.5 *Matt. 10:14And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city, *Luke 10:11; Acts 13:51shake off the very dust from your feet as a testimony against them."
