17 Afterward I said vnto them, Ye see the miserie that we are in, how Ierusalem lyeth waste, and the gates thereof are burnt with fire: come and let vs buylde the wall of Ierusalem, that we be no more a reproche. 18 Then I tolde them of the hande of my God, (which was good ouer me) and also of the Kings wordes that he had spoken vnto me. And they sayd, Let vs rise, and buyld. So they strengthened their hand to good.

17 Eu lhes disse: Vós vedes o triste estado em que nos achamos, como Jerusalém está deserta, e as suas portas consumidas do fogo; vinde, e reedifiquemos o muro de Jerusalém, para que não sejamos mais opróbrio.

18 Referi-lhes como a mão do meu Deus me fora favorável; e as palavras que o rei me tinha falado. Eles disseram: Levantemo-nos e edifiquemos. Fortaleceram as suas mãos para a boa obra.
