1 ထိုသို့ယောဘသည် မိမိဖြောင့်မတ်သည်ဟု ထင်သောကြောင့်၊ ထိုသူသုံးယောက်တို့သည် ပြန်၍ မပြောဘဲနေကြ၏။ 2 ထိုအခါ ဗုဇအမျိုး အာရအနွယ်ဖြစ်သော ဗာရခေလသားဧလိဟုသည် အမျက်ထွက်၏။ ယောဘသည် ဘုရားသခင်ထက် မိမိဖြောင့်မတ်ကြောင်းကို ပြသောကြောင့်၊ ယောဘကို အမျက်ထွက်၏။ 3 ယောဘ၏ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းသုံးယောက်တို့သည် ပြန်၍မပြောနိုင်သော်လည်း၊ ယောဘ၌ အပြစ်ရှိသည်ဟု စီရင်ကြသောကြောင့်၊ သူတို့ကိုလည်း အမျက်ထွက်၏။ 4 ဧလိဟုသည် သူတို့ထက် အသက်ငယ်သောကြောင့်၊ ယောဘပြောသော စကားမကုန်မီတိုင်အောင် ဆိုင်းလင့်လျက်နေ၏။ 5 ထိုသူသုံးယောက်တို့သည် ပြန်၍ပြောစရာစကား မရှိကြောင်းကို သိမြင်သောအခါ အမျက်ထွက်လေ၏။ 6 ထိုအခါ ဗုဇအမျိုး ဗာရခေလသားဧလိဟု မြွက်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ငါသည် အသက်ငယ်ပါ၏။ သင်တို့သည် အလွန်အသက်ကြီးပါ၏။ ထိုကြောင့် ငါသည်ကြောက်၍ ကိုယ်သဘောကိုမပြဝံ့ဘဲ နေပါပြီ။ 7 နေ့ရက်ကာလ တာရှည်သောသူသည် စကားပြောအပ်၏။ နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာ လွန်သောသူသည် ပညာကို သွန်သင်အပ်၏။ 8 သို့ရာတွင် လူထဲ၌ဝိညာဉ်ရှိ၏။ ဘုရားသခင် အသက်ရှင်စေတော်မူသဖြင့် ဉာဏ်ရှိ၏။ 9 လူကြီးတို့သည် အစဉ်ပညာရှိသည်မဟုတ်။ အသက်ကြီးသော သူအပေါင်းတို့သည် မှန်သောတရားကို နားလည်သည်မဟုတ်။ 10 သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။ ငါသည် ကိုယ်သဘောကို ပြပါမည်။
11 သင်တို့စကားကို ကြားရအံ့သောငှာ ငါဆိုင်းလင့်ပြီ။ သင်တို့သည် ပြောစရာကိုရှာဖွေ၍ ဆွေးနွေးသောစကားကို ငါနားထောင်ပြီ။ 12 စေ့စေ့နားထောင်စဉ်တွင်၊ ယောဘကို အဘယ်သူမျှမနိုင်။ သူ၏စကားကို အဘယ်သူမျှမချေ။ 13 သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါတို့သည် ပညာကိုရှာ၍တွေ့ပြီဟု သင်တို့ဆိုစရာမရှိ။ ယောဘကို နှိမ့်ချသောသူကား လူမဟုတ်၊ ဘုရားသခင်ပေတည်း။ 14 ယောဘသည် ငါ့ကိုရည်ဆောင်၍ ပြောပြီမဟုတ်။ သင်တို့ပြန်ပြောသည်အတိုင်း ငါပြန်ပြောမည် မဟုတ်။ 15 ဤသူတို့သည် မိန်းမောတွေဝေလျက်ပြန်၍ မပြောဘဲ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ နေကြ၏။ 16 ငါဆိုင်းလင့်သည်တွင် သူတို့သည် နှုတ်မမြွက်၊ ပြန်၍မပြောဘဲ ငြိမ်ငြိမ်နေကြ၏။ 17 သို့ဖြစ်၍ ငါသည်ကိုယ်အတွက် ပြန်ပြောမည်။ ကိုယ်သဘောကို ပြမည်။ 18 ငါသည် ပြောစရာစကားနှင့် ပြည့်ဝ၏။ အတွင်းဝိညာဉ်နှိုးဆော်ခြင်းကို ခံရ၏။ 19 ငါ့ဝမ်းသည် ပိတ်ဆို့သောစပျစ်ရည်နှင့် တူ၏။ အသစ်သောသားရေဘူး ကွဲလုသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ 20 ငါသည် သက်သာခြင်းငှာ မြွက်ဆိုရမည်။ နှုတ်ကိုဖွင့်၍ ပြန်ပြောရမည်။ 21 အဘယ်သူ၏မျက်နှာကိုမျှ မထောက်၊ အဘယ်သူကိုမျှ ချီးမွမ်းသောစကားနှင့် မချော့မော့။ 22 သူတစ်ပါးကို ချီးမွမ်းသောစကားနှင့် မချော့မော့တတ်။ ထိုသို့ပြုလျှင်၊ ငါ့ကိုဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော ဘုရားသည် ငါ့ကို ချက်ချင်းပယ်ရှားတော်မူမည်။
1 And these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. 2 Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than GodGodHebrew: Elohim3 and against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they found no answer, and yet condemned Job. 4 But Elihu had waited till Job had finished speaking, because they were older than he. 5 And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know. 7 I said, Let days speak, and multitude of years teach wisdom. 8 But there is a spirit which is in man; and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding. 9 It is not the great that are wise; neither do the aged understand judgment. 10 Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will shew what I know. 11 Lo, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasonings, until ye searched out what to say. 12 Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words; 13 That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; ·GodGodHebrew: El will make him yield, not man. 14 Now he hath not directed his words against me; and I will not answer him with your speeches. ...
15 They were amazed, they answered no more; words failed them. 16 And I waited, for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; — 17 I will answer, I also in my turn, I also will shew what I know: 18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me. 19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new flasks, it is ready to burst. 20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer. 21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person; neither will I give flattery to man. 22 For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.
