Te Rangimārie Mutungakore
1 Otiia, tēnei ake kei ngā rā whakamutunga
ka whakapūmautia te maunga i tō Ihowā whare
ki te tihi o ngā maunga,
ā, ka hikitia ki runga ake i ngā pukepuke,
ā, ka rere ngā iwi ki reira.
2 Ā, he maha ngā iwi e haere, e mea:
"Haere mai koutou, tātou ka haere ki runga ki te maunga o Ihowā,
ki te whare o te Atua o Hākopa,
ā, māna tātou e whakaako ki āna ara;
ka haere hoki tātou i āna huarahi."
Nō te mea ka puta mai te ture i Hiona,
te kupu hoki a Ihowā i Hiruhārama.
3 Ā, ka whakarite whakawā ia i waenganui i ngā iwi maha,
ka rīria hoki e ia te hē o ngā iwi kaha i tawhiti;
4 Engari ka noho rātou, ia tangata, ia tangata,
i raro i tāna wāina, i raro i tāna piki;
ā, kāhore he tangata hei whakawehi i a rātou;
nā te māngai hoki o Ihowā o ngā mano te kōrero.
5 Ka haere hoki ngā iwi katoa,
ia tangata, ia tangata, i runga i te ingoa o tōna atua,
ā, ka haere tātou i runga i te ingoa o Ihowā,
o tō tātou Atua ā ake ake.
Ka Hoki mai a Īharaira i te Manene
6 "Ā taua rā," e ai tā Ihowā,
"ka huihuia e ahau te wahine e totitoti ana,
ka whakaminea te wahine i peia atu,
me ia anō i whakatupuria kinotia e ahau;
7 ā, ka meinga e ahau te wahine e totitoti ana hei mōrehu,
me te wahine i makā atu ki tawhiti hei iwi kaha;
ā, ka kīngi a Ihowā ki a rātou ki Maunga Hiona
āianei ā ake tonu atu.
8 Nā, ka tae mai ki a koe, e koe, e te pourewa o te kāhui,
e te taumaihi o te tamāhine a Hiona;
āe rā, ka tae mai ki a koe te kīngitanga ō mua rā,
te kīngitanga o te tamāhine a Hiruhārama."
9 Nā, he aha koe i hāmama ai?
Kāhore ianei he kīngi i roto i a koe,
kua ngaro rānei tōu kaiwhakatakoto whakaaro,
i mau pū ai koe i te mamae
me te mea he wahine e whānau ana?
10 Whakamamae, e ngana kia puta ki waho, e te tamāhine a Hiona,
kia rite ki te wahine e whānau ana.
Nō te mea ko āianei koe puta ai i roto i te pā,
ā, ka noho ki te pārae,
ā, ka tae ki Papurōna rā anō;
hei reira koe ka whakaorangia;
hei reira a Ihowā hoko ai i a koe
i te ringa o ōu hoariri.
11 Nā, tōna maha o ngā iwi kua huihui ki te whawhai ki a koe,
e mea ana, "Tukua ia kia whakapokea,
kia kite atu tō tātou kanohi i tāna koronga i runga i Hiona."
12 Otirā, kāhore rātou e mātau
ki ngā whakaaro o Ihowā,
kāhore hoki e mōhio ki tāna i whakatakoto ai;
kua kohikohia hoki rātou e ia
ānō he paihere ki te patunga wīti.
13 "Whakatika ki te patu wīti,
e te tamāhine a Hiona;
ka meinga hoki e ahau tōu haona hei rino,
ka meinga hoki e ahau ōu pāua hei parāhi;
ā, he maha ngā iwi e patupatua e koe ā mongamonga noa;
ā, māu e whakatapu mā Ihowā ngā mea i apohia mai e rātou,
ō rātou rawa mā te Ariki o te whenua katoa."
1 But in the latter days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow unto it. 2 And many nations shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem; 3 and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig-tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of Jehovah of hosts hath spoken it. 5 For all the peoples walk every one in the name of his god; and we will walk in the name of Jehovah our God for ever and ever.
6 In that day, saith Jehovah, will I assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted; 7 and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and Jehovah will reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth even for ever. 8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the hill of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, yea, the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee, is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have taken hold of thee as of a woman in travail? 10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and shalt dwell in the field, and shalt come even unto Babylon: there shalt thou be rescued; there will Jehovah redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies. 11 And now many nations are assembled against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye see our desire upon Zion. 12 But they know not the thoughts of Jehovah, neither understand they his counsel; for he hath gathered them as the sheaves to the threshing-floor. 13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make thy horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass; and thou shalt beat in pieces many peoples: and I will devote their gain unto Jehovah, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
