1 Então o anjo me mostrou o rio da água da vida, brilhante como cristal, que sai do trono de Deus e do Cordeiro. 2 No meio da praça da cidade, e de um e de outro lado do rio, está a árvore da vida, que produz doze frutos, dando o seu fruto de mês em mês. E as folhas da árvore são para a cura dos povos. 3 Nunca mais haverá qualquer maldição. Nela estará o trono de Deus e do Cordeiro. Os seus servos o adorarão, 4 contemplarão a sua face, e na sua testa terão gravado o nome dele. 5 Então já não haverá noite, e não precisarão de luz de lamparina, nem da luz do sol, porque o Senhor Deus brilhará sobre eles, e reinarão para todo o sempre.

6 Então o anjo me disse:

— Estas palavras são fiéis e verdadeiras. O Senhor, o Deus dos espíritos dos profetas, enviou o seu anjo para mostrar aos seus servos as coisas que em breve devem acontecer.

7 — Eis que venho sem demora. Bem-aventurado aquele que guarda as palavras da profecia deste livro.

8 Eu, João, sou quem ouviu e viu estas coisas. E, depois de ter ouvido e visto, prostrei-me diante dos pés do anjo que me mostrou essas coisas, para adorá-lo. 9 Mas ele me disse:

— Não faça isso! Sou um servo de Deus, assim como são você e os seus irmãos, os profetas, e como são os que guardam as palavras deste livro. Adore a Deus!

10 Disse-me ainda:

— Não sele as palavras da profecia deste livro, porque o tempo está próximo. 11 Continue o injusto a fazer injustiça, e continue o imundo a ser imundo. O justo continue na prática da justiça, e o santo continue a santificar-se.

12 — Eis que venho sem demora, e comigo está a recompensa que tenho para dar a cada um segundo as suas obras. 13 Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, o Primeiro e o Último, o Princípio e o Fim.

14 Bem-aventurados aqueles que lavam as suas vestes, para que tenham direito à árvore da vida e entrem na cidade pelos portões. 15 Fora ficam os cães, os feiticeiros, os impuros, os assassinos, os idólatras e todo aquele que ama e pratica a mentira.

16 — Eu, Jesus, enviei o meu anjo para dar testemunho destas coisas a vocês nas igrejas. Eu sou a Raiz e a Geração de Davi, a brilhante Estrela da Manhã.

17 O Espírito e a noiva dizem:

— Vem!

Aquele que ouve, diga:

— Vem!

Aquele que tem sede venha, e quem quiser receba de graça a água da vida.

18 Eu, a todo aquele que ouve as palavras da profecia deste livro, testifico: Se alguém lhes fizer qualquer acréscimo, Deus lhe acrescentará os flagelos escritos neste livro. 19 E, se alguém tirar qualquer coisa das palavras do livro desta profecia, Deus tirará a sua parte da árvore da vida, da cidade santa e das coisas que estão escritas neste livro.

20 Aquele que dá testemunho destas coisas diz:

— Certamente venho sem demora.

Amém! Vem, Senhor Jesus!

21 A graça do Senhor Jesus esteja com todos.

1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, bright as crystal, coming out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,2 in the middle of its thoroughfare. And on this side of the river and on that was a tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit according to each month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.3 And there will be no curse there. And the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his bondmen will serve him.4 And they will see his face, and his name is on their foreheads.5 And there will be no night there, and they have no need of a lamp and the light of sun, because Lord God will illuminate them. And they will reign into the ages of the ages.6 And he says to me, These words are faithful and true. And Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his agent to show to his bondmen the things that must quickly come to pass.7 And behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.8 And I am John, the man hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the agent showing me these things.9 And he says to me, See thou not. I am thy fellow bondman, and of thy brothers the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!10 And he says to me, Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.11 Let the man doing wrong still do wrong, and let the filthy man still be filthy. And let the righteous man still do righteousness, and let the holy man still be holy.12 Behold, I come quickly, and my reward is with me to render to each man as his work will be.13 I, the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.14 Blessed are those doing his commandments, so that their right will be to the tree of life, and they may enter in the gates into the city.15 Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every man who loves and makes a lie.16 I, Jesus, have sent my agent to testify these things to you for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star.17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he who hears, let him say, Come. And he who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely.18 I testify to every man who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man should add to them, God will add to him the seven plagues that are written in this book.19 And if any man takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and from the holy city, the things written in this book.20 He who testifies these things says, Yea, I come quickly. Truly. Yea, come, Lord Jesus!21 The grace of the Lord Jesus is with all the sanctified. Truly.
