1 O Senhor disse a Arão:

— Você, os seus filhos e a casa de seu pai levarão sobre si a iniquidade com relação ao santuário; você e os seus filhos levarão sobre si a iniquidade com relação ao sacerdócio. 2 Traga também os seus irmãos, a tribo de Levi, a tribo de seu pai, para que se ajuntem a você e o sirvam, quando você e os seus filhos estiverem diante da tenda do testemunho. 3 Eles farão o serviço que devem prestar a você e à tenda, mas não deverão se aproximar dos utensílios do santuário, nem do altar, para que não sejam mortos, nem eles, nem vocês. 4 Eles se ajuntarão a você e farão todo o serviço da tenda do encontro; o estranho, porém, não deverá se aproximar de vocês. 5 Portanto, vocês farão o serviço do santuário e do altar, para que não haja outra vez ira contra os filhos de Israel. 6 Eis que eu tomei os irmãos de vocês, os levitas, do meio dos filhos de Israel; eles são dados a vocês como dádiva ao Senhor, para servirem na tenda do encontro. 7 Mas você e os seus filhos atenderão ao seu sacerdócio em tudo o que diz respeito ao altar, e ao que estiver para dentro do véu; este é o serviço de vocês. Eu lhes dou o seu ofício sacerdotal como dádiva; porém o estranho que se aproximar será morto.

8 O Senhor disse a Arão:

— Eis que eu dei a você o que foi separado das minhas ofertas, com todas as coisas consagradas dos filhos de Israel; dei-as por direito perpétuo como porção a você e aos seus filhos. 9 Das coisas santíssimas que não forem queimadas isto será seu: todas as ofertas deles, com todas as ofertas de cereais, com todas as ofertas pelo pecado e com todas as ofertas pela culpa, que eles me apresentarem, serão coisas santíssimas para você e para os seus filhos. 10 Você deve comer essas coisas num lugar santíssimo; todos os homens poderão comer; isso será algo santo para você.

11 — Também isto será seu: a oferta das dádivas que eles trouxerem com todas as ofertas movidas dos filhos de Israel, as quais dou a você, aos seus filhos e às suas filhas, por direito perpétuo. Todos os da sua casa que estiverem puros poderão comer dessas coisas. 12 Todo o melhor do azeite, do vinho e dos cereais, as primícias que eles derem ao Senhor, eu dei a você. 13 Os primeiros frutos de tudo o que houver na terra, que eles trouxerem ao Senhor, serão de você. Todos os da sua casa que estiverem puros poderão comer dessas coisas. 14 Tudo o que em Israel tiver sido consagrado por completo a Deus será seu.

15 — Todo primeiro filho que nascer, tanto de homens como de animais, que os filhos de Israel trouxerem ao Senhor, será seu. Porém os primogênitos dos homens você deve resgatar, e o mesmo vale para os primogênitos dos animais impuros. 16 O resgate será feito quando tiverem um mês de idade e será segundo esta avaliação: por sessenta gramas de prata, segundo o peso padrão do santuário, que é de doze gramas. 17 Mas o primogênito do gado, o primogênito de ovelhas ou o primogênito de cabra você não deve resgatar; são santos; você aspergirá o sangue deles sobre o altar e a sua gordura você queimará em oferta queimada de aroma agradável ao Senhor. 18 A carne deles será sua, assim como será seu o peito movido e a coxa direita.

19 — Todas as ofertas sagradas, que os filhos de Israel oferecerem ao Senhor, eu dou a você, aos seus filhos e às suas filhas, por direito perpétuo. Esta é uma aliança perpétua de sal diante do Senhor, para você e para a sua descendência.

20 O Senhor disse também a Arão:

— Na terra deles você não terá nenhuma herança e, no meio deles, você não terá nenhuma porção. Eu sou a sua porção e a sua herança no meio dos filhos de Israel.

21 — Aos filhos de Levi dei todos os dízimos em Israel por herança, pelo serviço que prestam, serviço da tenda do encontro. 22 E nunca mais os filhos de Israel se aproximarão da tenda do encontro, para que não levem sobre si o pecado e sejam mortos. 23 Mas os levitas farão o serviço da tenda do encontro e responderão por suas faltas; este é um estatuto perpétuo para todas as suas gerações. E os levitas não terão nenhuma herança no meio dos filhos de Israel. 24 Porque os dízimos dos filhos de Israel, que apresentam ao Senhor em oferta, esses eu dei por herança aos levitas; porque eu lhes disse: "Vocês não terão nenhuma herança no meio dos filhos de Israel."

25 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

26 — Fale aos levitas e diga-lhes o seguinte: Quando vocês receberem dos filhos de Israel os dízimos que eu lhes dou por herança, desses dízimos vocês apresentarão uma oferta ao Senhor: será o dízimo dos dízimos. 27 Essa oferta de vocês será considerada como se fosse cereal da eira ou vinho do lagar. 28 Assim, também vocês apresentarão ao Senhor uma oferta de todos os dízimos que receberem dos filhos de Israel e deles darão a oferta do Senhor a Arão, o sacerdote. 29 De todas as dádivas que receberem vocês apresentarão toda oferta devida ao Senhor: do melhor delas, a parte que lhe é sagrada.

30 — Portanto, diga-lhes o seguinte: Quando vocês oferecerem o melhor que há nos dízimos, isso será atribuído aos levitas como se fosse produto da eira ou produto do lagar. 31 Vocês poderão comer isso em qualquer lugar, vocês e as suas famílias, porque é a recompensa pelo serviço de vocês na tenda do encontro. 32 E vocês não levarão sobre si pecado, quando deles oferecerem o melhor. E não profanem as coisas sagradas dos filhos de Israel, para que não sejam mortos.

1 And Jehovah said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy fathers’ house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. 2 And thy brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou near with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall be before the tent of the testimony. 3 And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the Tent: only they shall not come nigh unto the vessels of the sanctuary and unto the altar, that they die not, neither they, nor ye. 4 And they shall be joined unto thee, and keep the charge of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the Tent: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you. 5 And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar; that there be wrath no more upon the children of Israel. 6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are a gift, given unto Jehovah, to do the service of the tent of meeting. 7 And thou and thy sons with thee shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serve: I give you the priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

8 And Jehovah spake unto Aaron, And I, behold, I have given thee the charge of my heave-offerings, even all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, as a portion for ever. 9 This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every oblation of theirs, even every meal-offering of theirs, and every sin-offering of theirs, and every trespass-offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall be most holy for thee and for thy sons. 10 As the most holy things shalt thou eat thereof; every male shall eat thereof: it shall be holy unto thee. 11 And this is thine: the heave-offering of their gift, even all the wave-offerings of the children of Israel; I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, as a portion for ever; every one that is clean in thy house shall eat thereof. 12 All the best of the oil, and all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first-fruits of them which they give unto Jehovah, to thee have I given them. 13 The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring unto Jehovah, shall be thine; every one that is clean in thy house shall eat thereof. 14 Everything devoted in Israel shall be thine. 15 Everything that openeth the womb, of all flesh which they offer unto Jehovah, both of man and beast shall be thine: nevertheless the first-born of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem. 16 And those that are to be redeemed of them from a month old shalt thou redeem, according to thine estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary (the same is twenty gerahs). 17 But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou shalt not redeem; they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood upon the altar, and shalt burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savor unto Jehovah. 18 And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the wave-breast and as the right thigh, it shall be thine. 19 All the heave-offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto Jehovah, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, as a portion for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever before Jehovah unto thee and to thy seed with thee. 20 And Jehovah said unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any portion among them: I am thy portion and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.

21 And unto the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the tent of meeting. 22 And henceforth the children of Israel shall not come nigh the tent of meeting, lest they bear sin, and die. 23 But the Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations; and among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 24 For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they offer as a heave-offering unto Jehovah, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

25 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 26 Moreover thou shalt speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithe which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up a heave-offering of it for Jehovah, a tithe of the tithe. 27 And your heave-offering shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the grain of the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepress. 28 Thus ye also shall offer a heave-offering unto Jehovah of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and thereof ye shall give Jehovah’s heave-offering to Aaron the priest. 29 Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave-offering of Jehovah, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it. 30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye heave the best thereof from it, then it shall be reckoned unto the Levites as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the wine-press. 31 And ye shall eat it in every place, ye and your households: for it is your reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting. 32 And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best thereof: and ye shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, that ye die not.
