1 São estas as caminhadas dos filhos de Israel que saíram da terra do Egito, segundo os seus exércitos, sob as ordens de Moisés e Arão. 2 Moisés escreveu os lugares de que saíram, caminhada após caminhada, conforme o mandado do Senhor. E são estas as suas caminhadas, segundo os lugares de que saíram: 3 eles partiram de Ramessés no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês. No dia seguinte ao da Páscoa, os filhos de Israel saíram, corajosamente, aos olhos de todos os egípcios, 4 enquanto estes sepultavam todos os seus primogênitos, a quem o Senhor havia matado entre eles; também contra os deuses o Senhor executou juízos.

5 Os filhos de Israel partiram de Ramessés e acamparam em Sucote. 6 Partiram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, que está no fim do deserto. 7 Partiram de Etã e voltaram a Pi-Hairote, que está diante de Baal-Zefom, e acamparam diante de Migdol. 8 Partiram de Pi-Hairote, passaram pelo meio do mar em direção ao deserto e, depois de terem caminhado três dias no deserto de Etã, acamparam em Mara. 9 Partiram de Mara e chegaram a Elim. Em Elim, havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras; e acamparam ali. 10 Partiram de Elim e acamparam junto ao mar Vermelho. 11 Partiram do mar Vermelho e acamparam no deserto de Sim. 12 Partiram do deserto de Sim e acamparam em Dofca. 13 Partiram de Dofca e acamparam em Alus. 14 Partiram de Alus e acamparam em Refidim, porém ali não havia água para o povo beber. 15 Partiram de Refidim e acamparam no deserto do Sinai. 16 Partiram do deserto do Sinai e acamparam em Quibrote-Hataavá. 17 Partiram de Quibrote-Hataavá e acamparam em Hazerote. 18 Partiram de Hazerote e acamparam em Ritma. 19 Partiram de Ritma e acamparam em Rimom-Perez. 20 Partiram de Rimom-Perez e acamparam em Libna. 21 Partiram de Libna e acamparam em Rissa. 22 Partiram de Rissa e acamparam em Queelata. 23 Partiram de Queelata e acamparam no monte Sefer. 24 Partiram do monte Sefer e acamparam em Harada. 25 Partiram de Harada e acamparam em Maquelote. 26 Partiram de Maquelote e acamparam em Taate. 27 Partiram de Taate e acamparam em Tera. 28 Partiram de Tera e acamparam em Mitca. 29 Partiram de Mitca e acamparam em Hasmona. 30 Partiram de Hasmona e acamparam em Moserote. 31 Partiram de Moserote e acamparam em Benê-Jaacã. 32 Partiram de Benê-Jaacã e acamparam em Hor-Hagidgade. 33 Partiram de Hor-Hagidgade e acamparam em Jotbatá. 34 Partiram de Jotbatá e acamparam em Abrona. 35 Partiram de Abrona e acamparam em Eziom-Geber. 36 Partiram de Eziom-Geber e acamparam no deserto de Zim, que é Cades. 37 Partiram de Cades e acamparam no monte Hor, na fronteira da terra de Edom.

38 Então Arão, o sacerdote, subiu o monte Hor, segundo o mandado do Senhor; e morreu ali, no primeiro dia do quinto mês do quadragésimo ano depois da saída dos filhos de Israel da terra do Egito. 39 Arão tinha cento e vinte e três anos de idade quando morreu no monte Hor.

40 Então o rei cananeu de Arade, que habitava o Sul da terra de Canaã, soube que os filhos de Israel estavam chegando.

41 Eles partiram do monte Hor e acamparam em Zalmona. 42 Partiram de Zalmona e acamparam em Punom. 43 Partiram de Punom e acamparam em Obote. 44 Partiram de Obote e acamparam em Ijé-Abarim, na fronteira de Moabe. 45 Partiram de Ijé-Abarim e acamparam em Dibom-Gade. 46 Partiram de Dibom-Gade e acamparam em Almom-Diblataim. 47 Partiram de Almom-Diblataim e acamparam nos montes de Abarim, diante de Nebo. 48 Partiram dos montes de Abarim e acamparam nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó. 49 E acamparam junto ao Jordão, desde Bete-Jesimote até Abel-Sitim, nas campinas de Moabe.

50 Nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó, o Senhor disse a Moisés:

51 — Fale com os filhos de Israel e diga-lhes: Quando vocês tiverem passado o Jordão para entrar na terra de Canaã, 52 devem expulsar da frente de vocês todos os moradores da terra, destruir todas as pedras com figura e todas as imagens fundidas. Devem também derrubar todos os santuários nos lugares altos. 53 Tomem posse da terra e morem nela, porque eu lhes dei esta terra, para que vocês tomem posse dela. 54 Vocês herdarão a terra por sorteio, segundo as suas famílias. À tribo mais numerosa deem uma herança maior; à tribo pequena deem uma herança menor. Onde lhe cair a sorte, esse lugar lhe pertencerá; vocês herdarão segundo as tribos de seus pais. 55 Porém, se não expulsarem os moradores da terra, então os que vocês deixarem ficar serão para vocês como espinhos nos olhos e como aguilhões nas costas e eles os perturbarão na terra em que vocês irão morar. 56 E farei com vocês o que pensei fazer com eles.

1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went forth out of the land of Egypt by their hosts under the hand of Moses and Aaron. 2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah: and these are their journeys according to their goings out. 3 And they journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians, 4 while the Egyptians were burying all their first-born, whom Jehovah had smitten among them: upon their gods also Jehovah executed judgments.

5 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth. 6 And they journeyed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness. 7 And they journeyed from Etham, and turned back unto Pi-hahiroth, which is before Baal-zephon: and they encamped before Migdol. 8 And they journeyed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and they went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah. 9 And they journeyed from Marah, and came unto Elim: and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and threescore and ten palm-trees; and they encamped there. 10 And they journeyed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea. 11 And they journeyed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin. 12 And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah. 13 And they journeyed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush. 14 And they journeyed from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink. 15 And they journeyed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai. 16 And they journeyed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah. 17 And they journeyed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth. 18 And they journeyed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah. 19 And they journeyed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez. 20 And they journeyed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah. 21 And they journeyed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah. 22 And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah. 23 And they journeyed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shepher. 24 And they journeyed from mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah. 25 And they journeyed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth. 26 And they journeyed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tahath. 27 And they journeyed from Tahath, and encamped in Terah. 28 And they journeyed from Terah, and encamped in Mithkah. 29 And they journeyed from Mithkah, and encamped in Hashmonah. 30 And they journeyed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth. 31 And they journeyed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-jaakan. 32 And they journeyed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped in Hor-haggidgad. 33 And they journeyed from Hor-haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah. 34 And they journeyed from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah. 35 And they journeyed from Abronah, and encamped in Ezion-geber. 36 And they journeyed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin (the same is Kadesh). 37 And they journeyed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.

38 And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month. 39 And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.

40 And the Canaanite, the king of Arad, who dwelt in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

41 And they journeyed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah. 42 And they journeyed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon. 43 And they journeyed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth. 44 And they journeyed from Oboth, and encamped in Iye-abarim, in the border of Moab. 45 And they journeyed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad. 46 And they journeyed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim. 47 And they journeyed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. 48 And they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho. 49 And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth even unto Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

50 And Jehovah spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, 51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their figured stones, and destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places: 53 and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it. 54 And ye shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: wheresoever the lot falleth to any man, that shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye inherit. 55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then shall those that ye let remain of them be as pricks in your eyes, and as thorns in your sides, and they shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell. 56 And it shall come to pass, that, as I thought to do unto them, so will I do unto you.
