Salmos 141

An Evening Prayer for Sanctification and Protection.

A Psalm of David.

1 Lord, I call upon You; hurry to me!

Listen to my voice when I call to You!

2 May my prayer be 141:2 Lit fixedcounted as incense before You;

The raising of my hands as the evening offering.

3 Set a guard, Lord, 141:3 Lit toover my mouth;

Keep watch over the door of my lips.

4 Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,

To practice deeds 141:4 Lit inof wickedness

With people who do wrong;

And may I not taste their delicacies.

5 May the righteous strike me with mercy and discipline me;

It is oil for the head;

My head shall not refuse it,

For my prayer is still against their evil deeds.

6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock,

And they hear my words, for they are pleasant.

7 As when one plows and breaks open the earth,

Our bones have been scattered at the mouth of 141:7 I.e., the netherworldSheol.

8 For my eyes are toward You, 141:8 Heb YHWH, usually rendered LordGod, the Lord;

In You I take refuge; do not 141:8 Lit pour out my soulleave me defenseless.

9 Keep me from the 141:9 Lit hands of the trapjaws of the trap which they have set for me,

And from the snares of those who do wrong.

10 May the wicked fall into their own nets,

While I pass by 141:10 Lit altogethersafely.
