1 Azariah son of Amaziah became king of Judah. This was in the twenty-seventh year of the rule of Jeroboam, king of Israel.2 Azariah was sixteen years old when he became king. He ruled in Jerusalem for fifty-two years. His mother's name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.3 He did what was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as his father Amaziah had done.4 He did not take away the high places. The people still continued to make and burn offerings in the high places.5 Jehovah sent disease on the king and he became a leper. To the day of his death he lived separately in his private house. Jotham his son was over his house, judging the people of the land.6 Now the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all he did are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Judah.7 Azariah slept with his fathers. He was buried with his fathers in the town of David. Jotham his son became king in his place.8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah, king of Judah, Zechariah, son of Jeroboam, was king over Israel for six months.9 He did evil in the eyes of Jehovah, as his father had done, not turning away from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.10 Shallum, the son of Jabesh conspired against him. He attacked him in Ibleam and killed him. Shallum became king in his place.11 Now the rest of the acts of Zechariah are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Israel.12 Jehovah spoke to Jehu: »Your sons to the fourth generation will be kings of Israel. It happened that way.«13 Shallum son of Jabesh became king and ruled in Samaria for one month. It was in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah.14 Then Menahem son of Gadi went up from Tirzah to Samaria. He attacked Shallum, son of Jabesh, in Samaria. He killed him and made himself king in his place.15 Now the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the conspiracy he committed, are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Israel.16 Then Menahem sent destruction on the people of Tappuah and the nearby territory. He attacked it because they would not let him come in. He had all the pregnant women cut open.17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah Menahem son of Gadi became king over Israel. He ruled in Samaria for ten years.18 He did evil in the eyes of Jehovah. He did not keep himself from the sin of Jeroboam son of Nebat. He causes Israel to sin too.19 Pul king of Assyria came against the land. Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver to let him keep the kingdom.20 Menahem extracted the money from men of wealth in Israel. Every man gave fifty silver shekels to give to the king of Assyria. Pekahiah his son became king in his place.23 Pekahiah son of Menahem became king over Israel in Samaria. He ruled two years. It was in the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah.24 He did evil in the eyes of Jehovah. He did not turn from the sin Jeroboam son of Nebat committed and caused Israel to commit.25 Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspired against him. He attacked him in the king's great house in Samaria. Fifty men of Gilead were with him. He killed the king and became king in his place.26 Now the rest of the acts of Pekahiah are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Israel.27 Pekah son of Remaliah became king over Israel in Samaria. He ruled twenty years. It was in the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah.28 He did evil in the eyes of Jehovah. He did not turn from the sin Jeroboam son of Nebat committed and caused Israel to commit.29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel Tiglathpileser king of Assyria captured Ijon and Abelbethmaacah and Janoah and Kedesh and Hazor and Gilead and Galilee and all the land of Naphtali. He took the people captive to Assyria.30 Hoshea son of Elah conspired against Pekah son of Remaliah. He attacked him and killed him. He became king in his place. It was in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah.31 The rest of the acts of Pekah are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Israel.32 Jotham son of Uzziah became king of Judah. It was in the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel.33 He was twenty-five years old when he became king. He ruled sixteen years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok.34 Jotham did what was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as his father Uzziah had done.35 But he did not take away the high places. The people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. He was the builder of the higher gate of the Temple of Jehovah.36 The rest of the acts of Jotham are recorded in the Book of the History of the Kings of Judah.37 At that time Jehovah first sent Rezin, king of Aram, and Pekah, son of Remaliah, against Judah.38 Jotham died and was buried in the royal tombs in David's City. His son Ahaz succeeded him as king.

E Pecaías, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.23 No ano cinqüenta de Azarias, rei de Judá, Pecaías, filho de Menaém, começou a reinar sobre Israel em Samária, e reinou dois anos.24 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com os quais ele fizera Israel pecar.25 E Peca, chefe das suas tropas, filho de Remalias, conspirou contra ele, e o feriu em Samária, no castelo da casa do rei, juntamente com Argobe e com Arié; e com Peca estavam cinqüenta homens dos filhos dos gileaditas; e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.26 Ora, o restante dos atos de Pecaías, e tudo quanto fez, estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.27 No ano cinqüenta e dois de Azarias, rei de Judá, Peca, filho de Remalias, começou a reinar sobre Israel, em Samária, e reinou vinte anos.28 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do Senhor; nunca se apartou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, com os quais ele fizera Israel pecar.29 Nos dias de Peca, rei de Israel, veio Tiglate-Pileser rei da Assíria e tomou Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maacá, Janoa, Quedes, Hazor, Gileade e Galiléia, toda a terra de Naftali; e levou cativos os habitantes para a Assiria.30 E Oséias, filho de Elá, conspirou contra Peca, filho de Remalias, o feriu e matou, e reinou em seu lugar, no vigésimo ano de Jotão, filho de Uzias.31 Ora, o restante dos atos de Peca, e tudo quanto fez, estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.32 No segundo ano de Peca, filho de Remalias, rei de Israel, começou a reinar Jotão, filho de Uzias, rei de Judá.33 Tinha vinte e cinco anos quando começou a reinar, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe era Jenisa, filha de Zadoque.34 E fez o que era reto aos olhos do Senhor; fez conforme tudo quanto fizera seu pai Uzias.35 Contudo os altos não foram tirados; o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso neles. Pois ele que edificou a porta alta da casa do Senhor.36 Ora, o restante dos atos de Jotão, e tudo quanto fez, porventura não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?37 Naqueles dias começou o Senhor a enviar contra Judá Rezim, rei da Síria, e Peca, filho de Remalias.38 E Jotão dormiu com seus pais, e com eles foi, sepultado na cidade de Davi, seu pai. E Acaz, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.
