14 Mas quem não tem o Espírito de Deus não pode receber os dons que vêm do Espírito e, de fato, nem mesmo pode entendê-los. Essas verdades são loucura para essa pessoa porque o sentido delas só pode ser entendido de modo espiritual. 15 A pessoa que tem o Espírito Santo pode julgar o valor de todas as coisas, porém ela mesma não pode ser julgada por ninguém. 16 Como dizem as Escrituras Sagradas: "Quem pode conhecer a mente do Senhor? Quem é capaz de lhe dar conselhos?" Mas nós pensamos como Cristo pensa.

14 But the natural man does not perceive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he understand [them] because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual discerns all things, yet he is discerned by no one.

16 For who has known the understanding of the Lord? Who has instructed him? But we have the understanding of Christ.:
