Ele escolheu Judá como líder, e da tribo de Judá escolheu minha família, e entre os filhos de meu pai ele quis fazer-me rei de todo o Israel.5 E, dentre todos os muitos filhos que me deu, ele escolheu Salomão para sentar-se no trono de Israel, o reino do Senhor.6 Ele me disse: ‘Seu filho Salomão é quem construirá o meu templo e os meus pátios, pois eu o escolhi para ser meu filho, e eu serei o pai dele.7 Firmarei para sempre o reino dele, se ele continuar a obedecer os meus mandamentos e as minhas ordenanças, como faz agora’.8 "Por isso agora declaro-lhes perante todo o Israel e a assembléia do Senhor, e diante dos ouvidos de nosso Deus: Tenham o cuidado de obedecer a todos os mandamentos do Senhor, do seu Deus, para que mantenham a posse dessa boa terra e a dêem por herança aos seus descendentes para sempre.9 "E você, meu filho Salomão, reconheça o Deus de seu pai, e sirva-o de todo o coração e espontaneamente, pois o Senhor sonda todos os corações e conhece a motivação dos pensamentos. Se você o buscar, o encontrará, mas, se você o abandonar, ele o rejeitará para sempre.10 Veja que o Senhor o escolheu para construir um templo que me sirva de santuário. Seja forte e mãos ao trabalho! "11 Então Davi deu a seu filho Salomão a planta do pórtico do templo, para os seus edifícios, para os seus depósitos, para os andares superiores e suas salas, e para o lugar do propiciatório.12 Entregou-lhe também as plantas de tudo o que o Espírito havia posto em seu coração acerca dos pátios do templo do Senhor e de todas as salas ao redor, para os depósitos dos tesouros do templo de Deus e para os depósitos das dádivas sagradas.13 Deu-lhe instruções sobre as divisões dos sacerdotes e dos levitas, e sobre à execução de todas as tarefas no templo do Senhor, e os utensílios que seriam utilizados.14 Determinou o peso do ouro para todos os utensílios de ouro e o peso da prata para todos os utensílios de prata que seriam utilizados nas diferentes tarefas:15 o peso de ouro para cada candelabro e suas lâmpadas; e o peso de prata para cada candelabro de prata e suas lâmpadas, de acordo com a finalidade de cada um;16 o peso de ouro para cada mesa de pães consagrados; o peso de prata para as mesas de prata;17 o peso de ouro puro para os garfos, para as bacias de aspersão e para os jarros; o peso de ouro para cada tigela de ouro; o peso de prata para cada tigela de prata;18 e o peso de ouro refinado para o altar de incenso. Também lhe deu o desenho do carro dos querubins de ouro que, com suas asas estendidas, abrigam a arca da aliança do Senhor.19 "Tudo isso", disse Davi a Salomão, "foi me dado por escrito pela mão do Senhor, e ele me deu entendimento para executar todos esses projetos. "20 E acrescentou: "Seja forte e corajoso! Mãos ao trabalho! Não tenha medo nem se desanime, pois Deus, o Senhor, o meu Deus, está com você. Ele não o deixará nem o abandonará até que se termine toda a construção do templo do Senhor.21 As divisões dos sacerdotes e dos levitas estão definidas para todas as tarefas que se farão no templo de Deus, e você receberá ajuda de homens peritos em todo tipo de serviço. 1 And David assembled all the rulers of Israel, the rulers of the tribes, and the captains of the companies that served the king by division, and the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, and the rulers over all the su2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brothers, and my people. As for me, it was in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of LORD, and for the footstool of our God. And I had made3 But God said to me, Thou shall not build a house for my name, because thou are a man of war, and have shed blood.4 However LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen Judah to be ruler, and in the house of Judah, the house of my father, and among the sons of my father he5 And of all my sons (for LORD has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of LORD over Israel.6 And he said to me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.7 And I will establish his kingdom forever, if he is constant to do my commandments and my ordinances, as at this day.8 Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of LORD, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of LORD your God, that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to you9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind, for LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he will be10 Take heed now, for LORD has chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.11 Then David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch [of the temple], and of the houses of it, and of the treasuries of it, and of the upper rooms of it, and of the inner chambers of it, and of the place of the mercy-seat,12 and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, for the courts of the house of LORD, and for all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God, and for the treasuries of the dedicated things,13 also for the divisions of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of LORD,14 of gold by weight for the [vessels of] gold, for all vessels of every kind of service; [of silver] for all the vessels of silver by weight, for all vessels of every kind of service,15 by weight also for the candlesticks of gold, and for the lamps of it, of gold, by weight for every candlestick and for the lamps of it, and for the candlesticks of silver, [silver] by weight for [every] candlestick and for the lamp16 and the gold by weight for the tables of showbread, for every table, and silver for the tables of silver,17 and the flesh-hooks, and the basins, and the cups, of pure gold, and for the golden bowls by weight for every bowl, and for the silver bowls by weight for every bowl,18 and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight, and gold for the pattern of the chariot, [even] the cherubim that spread out [their wings], and covered the ark of the covenant of LORD.19 All this, [David said], I have been made to understand in writing from the hand of LORD, even all the works of this pattern.20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it. Fear not, nor be dismayed, for LORD God, even my God, is with thee. He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until all the work for the service of the hou21 And, behold, there are the courses of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God. And there shall be with thee in all manner of work every willing man who has skill, for any manner of service. Also the capt
