1 Disse ainda o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão:2 "Façam um recenseamento dos coatitas na tribo de Levi, pelos seus clãs e famílias;3 contem todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos, aptos para servir, para que façam o serviço da Tenda do Encontro.4 "O serviço dos coatitas na Tenda do Encontro será o cuidado das coisas santíssimas.5 Quando o acampamento tiver que mudar, Arão e os seus filhos entrarão e descerão o véu protetor e com ele cobrirão a arca da aliança.6 Depois a cobrirão com couro, estenderão um pano inteiramente azul sobre ela e colocarão as varas no lugar.7 "Sobre a mesa da Presença eles estenderão um pano azul e colocarão os pratos, os recipientes para incenso, as tigelas e as bacias para as ofertas derramadas, e os pães da Presença, que devem estar sempre sobre ela.8 Sobre tudo isso estenderão um pano vermelho e o cobrirão com couro. Depois colocarão as varas no lugar.9 "Pegarão também um pano azul e cobrirão o candelabro usado para iluminação, as suas candeias, as suas tesouras de aparo, os seus apagadores e todos os seus jarros necessários para alimentá-la de óleo.10 Então o embrulharão com todos os seus utensílios numa cobertura de couro e o colocarão num suporte para carregar.11 "Sobre o altar de ouro estenderão um pano azul e o cobrirão com couro. E colocarão as suas varas no lugar.12 "Apanharão todos os utensílios usados na ministração no santuário, depois os embrulharão num pano azul e os cobrirão com couro; a seguir os colocarão num suporte para carregar.13 "Tirarão a cinza do altar de bronze e estenderão sobre ele um pano roxo.14 Colocarão sobre ele todos os utensílios usados na ministração no altar: os braseiros, os garfos de carne, as pás e as bacias da aspersão. Sobre ele estenderão uma cobertura de couro e colocarão as varas no lugar.15 "Quando Arão e os seus filhos terminarem de cobrir os utensílios sagrados e todos os artigos sagrados, e o acampamento estiver pronto para partir, os coatitas virão carregá-los. Mas não tocarão nas coisas sagradas; se o fizerem, morrerão. São esses os utensílios da Tenda do Encontro que os coatitas carregarão.16 "Eleazar, filho do sacerdote Arão, ficará encarregado do azeite para a iluminação, do incenso aromático, da oferta costumeira de cereal e do óleo da unção. Ficará encarregado de todo o tabernáculo e de tudo o que nele há, seus utensílios e seus artigos sagrados".17 O Senhor disse a Moisés e a Arão:18 "Não permitam que o ramo dos clãs coatitas seja eliminado dentre os levitas.19 Mas, para que continuem vivos e não morram quando se aproximarem das coisas santíssimas, Arão e os seus filhos entrarão no santuário e designarão a cada homem a sua tarefa e o que deverá carregar.20 Os coatitas não entrarão para ver as coisas sagradas, nem por um breve momento, para que não morram".21 E o Senhor disse a Moisés:22 "Faça também um recenseamento dos gersonitas, pelas suas famílias e clãs;23 conte todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos, aptos para servir, para que façam o serviço da Tenda do Encontro.24 "Este é o serviço dos clãs gersonitas, o que devem fazer e carregar:25 Eles levarão as cortinas internas do tabernáculo, a Tenda do Encontro, a sua cobertura, a cobertura exterior de couro, as cortinas da entrada da Tenda do Encontro.26 Farão tudo o que for necessário com aquelas coisas e com as cortinas externas do pátio que rodeia o tabernáculo e o altar, com a cortina da entrada, com as cordas e com todos os utensílios usados em seu serviço.27 Todo o serviço deles, tudo o que devem fazer e carregar estará sob a direção de Arão e de seus filhos. Suas atividades estarão sob a supervisão de Itamar, filho do sacerdote Arão.29 "Conte os meraritas conforme os seus clãs e famílias,30 todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos, aptos para servir, para que façam o serviço da Tenda do Encontro.31 Esta é a responsabilidade deles no serviço que realizam na Tenda do Encontro: carregar as armações do tabernáculo, seus travessões, suas colunas e suas bases,32 bem como as colunas do pátio, que rodeia a tenda, com suas bases, suas estacas e suas cordas; todos os seus utensílios e tudo o que está relacionado com o seu uso. Designe a cada um aquilo que deverá levar.33 Este é o serviço dos clãs meraritas. Moisés e Arão os contaram de acordo com a ordem do Senhor, anunciada por Moisés.38 Os gersonitas foram contados conforme os seus clãs e famílias,39 todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos, aptos para servir, para fazer o serviço da Tenda do Encontro.40 Foram contados conforme os seus clãs e famílias 2. 630.41 Esse foi o total de recenseados dos clãs gersonitas que serviam na Tenda do Encontro. Moisés e Arão os contaram de acordo com a ordem do Senhor.42 Os meraritas foram contados conforme os seus clãs e famílias,43 todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos, aptos para servir, para fazer o serviço da Tenda do Encontro.44 Foram contados conforme os seus clãs 3. 200.45 Esse foi o total de recenseados dos clãs meraritas que serviam na Tenda do Encontro. Moisés e Arão os contaram de acordo com a ordem do Senhor, anunciada por Moisés.46 Assim Moisés, Arão e os líderes de Israel contaram todos os levitas conforme os seus clãs e famílias,47 todos os homens entre trinta e cinqüenta anos de idade que vieram para servir e carregar a Tenda do Encontro48 somavam 8. 580.49 Conforme a ordem do Senhor anunciada por Moisés, a cada um foi designado o seu trabalho e foi dito o que deveria carregar. Assim foram todos contados, conforme o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.

1 And LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' houses,3 from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.4 This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting, [about] the most holy things:5 When the camp sets forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the testimony with it.6 And shall put on it a covering of sea-skin, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall put in the staves of it.7 And upon the table of showbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls and the cups with which to pour out. And the continual bread shall be on it.8 And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover the same with a covering of sea-skin, and shall put in the staves of it.9 And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff dishes, and all the oil vessels of it, with which they minister to it.10 And they shall put it and all the vessels of it within a covering of sea-skin, and shall put it upon the frame.11 And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of sea-skin, and shall put in the staves of it.12 And they shall take all the vessels of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of sea-skin, and shall put them on the frame.13 And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it.14 And they shall put upon it all the vessels of it, with which they minister about it: the firepans, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar. And they shall spread upon it a covering of sea-skin15 And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp is set forward, after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it, but they shall not touch the sanctuar16 And the charge of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the continual meal-offering, and the anointing oil, the charge of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it: the sa17 And LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites,19 but thus do to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach to the most holy things. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint for them each one to his service and to his burden,20 but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.21 And LORD spoke to Moses, saying,22 Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers' houses, by their families,23 from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old thou shall number them, all who enter in to wait upon the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting.24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:25 They shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of sea-skin that is above upon it, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,26 and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done wit27 At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service. And ye shall appoint to those in charge all their burden.28 This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting. And their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.29 As for the sons of Merari, thou shall number them by their families, by their fathers' houses.30 From thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old thou shall number them, each man who enters upon the service, to do the work of the tent of meeting.31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tent of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars of it, and the pillars of it, and the sockets of it,32 and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service. And ye shall appoint the instruments of the charge of their burden by name.33 This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the tent of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.34 And Moses and Aaron and the rulers of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers' houses,35 from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, each man who entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting.36 And those who were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.37 These are those who were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of LORD by Moses.38 And those who were numbered of the sons of Gershon, their families, and by their fathers' houses,39 from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, each man who entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,40 even those who were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers' houses, were two thousand and six hundred and thirty.41 These are those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of LORD.42 And those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers' houses,43 from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, each man who entered upon the service, for work in the tent of meeting,44 even those who were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand and two hundred.45 These are those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of LORD by Moses.46 All those who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the rulers of Israel numbered, by their families, and by their fathers' houses,47 from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, each man who entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the tent of meeting,48 even those who were numbered of them, were eight thousand and five hundred and eighty.49 According to the commandment of LORD they were numbered by Moses, each man according to his service, and according to his burden. Thus they were numbered by him, as LORD commanded Moses.
