1 Irmãos, não lhes pude falar como a espirituais, mas como a carnais, como a crianças em Cristo.2 Dei-lhes leite, e não alimento sólido, pois vocês não estavam em condições de recebê-lo. De fato, vocês ainda não estão em condições,3 porque ainda são carnais. Porque, visto que há inveja e divisão entre vocês, não estão sendo carnais e agindo como mundanos?4 Pois quando alguém diz: "Eu sou de Paulo", e outro: "Eu sou de Apolo", não estão sendo mundanos?5 Afinal de contas, quem é Apolo? Quem é Paulo? Apenas servos por meio dos quais vocês vieram a crer, conforme o ministério que o Senhor atribuiu a cada um.6 Eu plantei, Apolo regou, mas Deus é quem fazia crescer;7 de modo que nem o que planta nem o que rega são alguma coisa, mas unicamente Deus, que efetua o crescimento.8 O que planta e o que rega têm um só propósito, e cada um será recompensado de acordo com o seu próprio trabalho.9 Pois nós somos cooperadores de Deus; vocês são lavoura de Deus e edifício de Deus.10 Conforme a graça de Deus que me foi concedida, eu, como sábio construtor, lancei o alicerce, e outro está construindo sobre ele. Contudo, veja cada um como constrói.11 Porque ninguém pode colocar outro alicerce além do que já está posto, que é Jesus Cristo.12 Se alguém constrói sobre esse alicerce, usando ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, madeira, feno ou palha,13 sua obra será mostrada, porque o Dia a trará à luz; pois será revelada pelo fogo, que provará a qualidade da obra de cada um.14 Se o que alguém construiu permanecer, esse receberá recompensa.15 Se o que alguém construiu se queimar, esse sofrerá prejuízo; contudo, será salvo como alguém que escapa através do fogo.16 Vocês não sabem que são santuário de Deus e que o Espírito de Deus habita em vocês?17 Se alguém destruir o santuário de Deus, Deus o destruirá; pois o santuário de Deus, que são vocês, é sagrado.18 Não se enganem. Se algum de vocês pensa que é sábio segundo os padrões desta era, deve tornar-se "louco" para que se torne sábio.19 Porque a sabedoria deste mundo é loucura aos olhos de Deus. Pois está escrito: "Ele apanha os sábios na astúcia deles";20 e também: "O Senhor conhece os pensamentos dos sábios e sabe como são fúteis".21 Portanto, ninguém se glorie em homens; porque todas as coisas são de vocês,22 seja Paulo, seja Apolo, seja Pedro, seja o mundo, a vida, a morte, o presente ou o futuro; tudo é de vocês,23 e vocês são de Cristo, e Cristo, de Deus.

1 And I, brothers, could not speak to you{+} as to spiritual, but as to carnal, as to juveniles in Christ.2 I fed you{+} with milk, not with meat; for you{+} were not yet able [to bear it]: no, not even now are you{+} able;3 for you{+} are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you{+} jealousy and strife, are you{+} not carnal, and do you{+} not walk after the manner of men?4 For when one says, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are you{+} not men?5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you{+} believed; and to each as the Lord gave.6 I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.7 So then neither is he who plants anything, neither he who waters; but God who gives the increase.8 Now he who plants and he who waters are one: but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.9 For we are God's coworkers: you{+} are God's husbandry, God's building.10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another builds on it. But let each take heed how he builds on it.11 For another foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.12 But if any man builds on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;13 each man's work will be made manifest: for the day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will prove each man's work of what sort it is.14 If any man's work that he built on it stays, he will receive a reward.15 If any man's work will be burned, he will suffer loss: but he himself will be saved; yet so as through fire.16 Don't you{+} know that you{+} are a temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you{+}?17 If any man destroys the temple of God, him will God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are you{+}.18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinks that he is wise among you{+} in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness:20 and again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are useless.21 Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours{+};22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours{+};23 and you{+} are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
