Cântico de peregrinação.

1 Feliz aquele que teme e confia no Senhor

e que anda nos seus caminhos.

2 Beneficiará dos resultados do seu trabalho;

será feliz e tudo lhe correrá bem.

3 A sua mulher será como uma videira frutífera

que lhe enche a casa;

os seus filhos, quando toda a família se junta,

terão o ar saudável de oliveiras novas.

4 Desta maneira será abençoado

o homem que teme o Senhor.

5 Que o Senhor te abençoe desde Sião!

Verás a prosperidade de Jerusalém,

todos os dias da tua vida.

6 Que tenhas alegria na companhia dos teus netos!

Que haja paz em Israel!

A Song of degrees.

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

4 Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

5 The LORD shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

6 Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.
